Anyone dig this?

http://www.myspace.com/paroxysmmetal

I think it comes under the umbrella of deathcore.

dinosaurxbrocore 05-11-2008 04:49 PM

theyre alright, red shore's better aussie deathcore though imo

botb 05-11-2008 06:13 PM

^^agreed

Shred Danson 05-11-2008 06:24 PM

...So why is Rifles being mentioned in this thread again?

dinosaurxbrocore 05-11-2008 06:32 PM

because some newb was talking about really bad bands being the only good deathcore bands so i linked their album

Shred Danson 05-11-2008 06:34 PM

But they weren't a deathcore band, so I'm just like "wuh?"

dinosaurxbrocore 05-11-2008 06:36 PM

they're pretty much like, one of the first bands to play the style

Shred Danson 05-11-2008 06:40 PM

I dunno, I'm tryin' to find the death metal influence and I got nothin'.

dinosaurxbrocore 05-11-2008 06:43 PM

theyre pretty much a melodic death band with scattered hardcore parts

Shred Danson 05-11-2008 06:50 PM

There's no such thing as melodic death metal in America, lol especially chattanooga. Geez, mappy. I'ma suck yo dick.

dinosaurxbrocore 05-11-2008 06:51 PM

oh ok

That band is pretty sick, totally downloaded their EP.

RunAmokRampant 05-12-2008 01:29 AM

Yeh, I saw em live a while back. They've certainly have gotten better since then.

botb 05-12-2008 02:01 PM

encmetalhead 05-13-2008 05:26 AM

looks like a band name...

Xplisit 05-13-2008 12:50 PM

Based on the age of ABRB, it's hard to deny their potential. They could be the best in the genre in a few years.
Based on the age of ABRB, it's hard to deny their potential. They could be the best in the genre in a few years.
I already enjoy them more than more DC bands.

Xplisit 05-13-2008 12:56 PM

Same. Right now for me, it's them and Whitechapel that I find myself listening to.

Hester Prynne never lets up.

Dimmu Burger 05-13-2008 01:00 PM

I have a question. If a band has a lot of death metal drumming but has hatebreed type riffs and misery signals and In Flames type riffs, would you call them deathcore?

Xplisit 05-13-2008 01:01 PM

It's a process of elimination, really.

Doesn't sound like it would fit anywhere else.

Dimmu Burger 05-13-2008 01:02 PM

Really I consider it metalcore, but its got real hardcore parts as opposed to just breakdowns like most metalcore bands.

botb 05-13-2008 05:20 PM

Both great bands although since Leche left they've kind of gone downhill. Allegiance is a ****ing juggernaut of a record but the new stuff on their myspace is very mediocre.

dinosaurxbrocore 05-13-2008 05:44 PM
looks like a band name...
hot cross album, noob

also, as blood runs black has nothing to do with hardcore or being good

I'm sorry, but your posts drain me of my IQ, sir. You should probably do something about that.
I'm sorry, but your posts drain me of my IQ, sir. You should probably do something about that.
How exactly do they manage that?

adb 05-13-2008 09:52 PM
although since Leche left they've kind of gone downhill. Allegiance is a ****ing juggernaut of a record but the new stuff on their myspace is very mediocre.
couldn't agree more, Allegiance is still played in my car, The Brighter Side of Suffering, Legends Never Die, etc. are all freaking awesome songs.

dinosaurxbrocore 05-13-2008 11:02 PM

not deathcore, also not good at all

adb 05-13-2008 11:24 PM
not deathcore
 ok bro
also not good at all
false

dinosaurxbrocore 05-13-2008 11:30 PM

yes because as blood runs black has a lot of hardcore parts, i forgot that part!

wait...

oh yeah, you love winds of plague and the faceless, and you consider the faceless deathcore as well... you don't know what you're talking about!

adb 05-13-2008 11:39 PM

Actually they do, they're the definition of deathcore.

 Fail. I don't love WoP, they're good to listen to if I'm in the mood, that's about it. I NEVER have EVER called the faceless deathcore, we just discuss them here b/c the death metal thread is full of elites.

dinosaurxbrocore 05-13-2008 11:40 PM

if the definition of deathcore was a bad version of the black dahlia murder with the most monotonous breakdowns conceivable, then i'd agree.

adb 05-13-2008 11:44 PM

oh burn

dinosaurxbrocore 05-13-2008 11:46 PM

seriously, are we listening to the same as blood runs black?

adb 05-13-2008 11:51 PM

you were the one that said they have no hardcore parts
