Twin Human Highway Flares 11-25-2007 12:57 AM

Skanking is overrated. There's never enough room anyway.

thunderzstruck 11-25-2007 01:07 AM

idk i just think its really fun
especially with friends/girlfriends

Flagjacket 11-25-2007 08:33 AM

skanking is pretty homo

Jessizzle 11-25-2007 09:20 AM

if everyone knew how to skank correctly in a circle, its fun sometimes.. but im more of a front row type of person, so i normally just dance in the front. and this way i get to sing along with the bands into the mic more often.

Flagjacket 11-25-2007 09:26 AM

do a headwalk

Aficionado 11-25-2007 10:07 AM

Skanking is fun in less packed shows no doubt, an example of this being our high school carnival, now that was fun.

Am I the only who thinks the line "So what will you do when they call your name and you're not ready to go" is a reference to the whole Keasbey Nights and Point/Counterpoint storyline or am I just looking to deep into it? Heck some of the horns sound similar too. I gotta say though, this CD has definitely grown on me considerably.

thunderzstruck 11-25-2007 10:23 AM

Yeah, this cd grew on me soo much. It's literally ALL I've been listening to while driving since it released.

And I did also notice that a few horn lines are sooo similar to Keasby Nights. You know what would be epic and awesome? If they somehow integrated this song with the Point/Counterpoint Keasby Nights medley

That would be pretty amazning, though it would be hard to integrate and not make it too long. But am I the only one who caught that specific line? Oh and congrats on 6000 posts.

Henrik 11-25-2007 11:29 AM

Yeah I definitely can see what you mean there.

I think Watch It Crash and That'll Be The Day would make a great medley (I actually got a feeling that I've seen af video of this once).

Aficionado 11-25-2007 11:33 AM

Definitely it would. I really love the jazzy horns in Forty Days, they are very different from most of the album.

jebus FX 11-25-2007 12:44 PM

out of topic but can anyone send me the BOTAR EP please?

Danger Bird 11-25-2007 01:53 PM

comptonassrobert 11-25-2007 03:28 PM

So my band and I gave Tomas our demo when we saw them play with the Aquabats, and they stole one of our hornlines for Down Down Down to Mephisto's Cafe

Flagjacket 11-25-2007 03:39 PM

you should sue

comptonassrobert 11-25-2007 08:02 PM

It's not really that noticeable and I really doubt they actually got it from listening to our demo (if they even did), but it's fun to convince myself that they did.

http://www.myspace.com/belleviewmob

It's the hornline during the break that starts at 3:30 into the song, and also the very last outro hornline of A Romance.

And in Down Down Down To Mephisto's Cafe it's the hornline that plays during the beginning of the chorus at 1:34

M3LL0NC0LL13 11-25-2007 09:09 PM

That song's pretty damn good. The one you said has a similar hornline, I mean.

comptonassrobert 11-25-2007 11:27 PM

yeah streetlight are good

SkaRobotArmy 11-26-2007 11:00 AM

i like your band. but also, i really really like somewhere in the between right now (the song) the lyrics are bit'chin if a little repetitive...

Aficionado 11-28-2007 03:47 PM

Ya I'm gonna have to agree with you, Keasbey is still my favourite.

Danger Bird 11-28-2007 05:37 PM

This isn't a dig really, but yours is the 5th or 6th band I've tried on myspace that has a song that goes clean guitar intro, rest of the band comes in, add horns, stop; distorted guitar.

Your songs could use some work.

lynch_me 11-28-2007 09:06 PM

The vocals remind me so much of really old school blink 182.

Tomas liked them enough to steal them! Haha.

Yeah I know, those are the first few songs we wrote and the recordings are pretty old, but it was fun while it lasted. And we were the only band within 15 miles that actually used horns.

DougJI 11-29-2007 12:39 AM

dont forget gimp. i dont care what you say, but **** if i could write songs like that when i was 14...

SkaRobotArmy 11-29-2007 05:04 PM

kith is a skasnob.

Kithkin 11-29-2007 06:49 PM

Teach me master.

SkaRobotArmy 11-30-2007 01:12 AM

some day soon my son, you are not yet ready to begin your training.

obese_breasts 12-04-2007 03:01 AM

Tomorrow....

obese_breasts 12-04-2007 04:48 PM

Ok, no joke, my friend got an email from Tomas/BOTAR a couple days ago and they want her to play harp for them on the next album, to be recorded in the next few months.
