i think you'd be screwed if you mess up on denim, but it's hard to mess up when doing lyrics(unless your trying to do special letters), so just think about what youre writing and dont spell it wrong

you wont find it anywhere. Your just gonna have to work it out by ear. Great song though.

Flagjacket 08-18-2005 08:10 PM

Whoo, I just got a denim jacket so I can start on making it super PUNX. By that, I mean putting on over 100 pounds of studs and writing OI OI OI on the sleeves.

Sleeves aren't punk.

Flagjacket 08-18-2005 09:47 PM

Uh, did I say sleeves? I mean uh..... upper back, and I'm tearing the sleeves off.

unless they aren't attached to a shirt. i'm not sure how you'd pull that off.

but it would rule.

interesting... would this work?

i mean, i'm not considering it. but i mean, fishing line, you can sew it into skin and it will hold? i figure i may one day need to sew something into skin, right, so i thought i should ask if this works.

It would hold like stiches, I think it's the same consistancy, except it wouldn't dissolve like most modern sutures.

Other than studsandspikes.com is there any where (not online) that i can get studs for my jacket ... I.v looked in fabric stors but no luck

me likes punk 08-19-2005 10:15 PM

www.crustpunks.com and www.angryyoungandpoor.com have good selections

Master 08-19-2005 10:26 PM

well it sorta depends on where you live.

asdf 08-19-2005 10:28 PM

He asked where not online, though.

There's a vintage clothes store where I live that I think sells spikes and studs. Never really looked into it, though, so I don't know. It all depends on where you live. You're probably better off getting stuff from online.

me likes punk 08-19-2005 10:32 PM

oh duh. i read it wrong sorry

i'd go with what they said^^

cheeser_1 08-19-2005 10:47 PM

if you want a bullet belt, you can buy one from havoc records. not sure if they're cheaper or not, compared to other places. i haven't worked it out. too lazy.

I'd guess Army Surplus stores are cheapest.

RudeBoyStompin 08-20-2005 10:50 AM

I think I'm going to stencil the Public Enemy logo on a pair of jeans.
I'd guess Army Surplus stores are cheapest.
they sell those at army surplus? i'd have figured they wouldn't have them surplus from the army unless they were active (and thus illegal to just sell like that).

Theramed 08-20-2005 12:09 PM

i can get .303 un-active bullets from my local army surplus.
they just empty out the active ons i think but the .303's are probably just empty shells picked up from WW2 battlefields

Brain Toad 08-20-2005 02:55 PM

I've seen unactive bullets at the surplus store here. People use them for collections, displays, decorations, etc. I think there was a few at the gun show I went to, but those things f'ucking scare me.

Theramed 08-20-2005 05:22 PM

I bleached a denim jacket today to lghten it up but it turned out alot different than i expected. i like the way it turned out.

i saw something about bullet belts and bullets just get out of the city and find some where with bullet holes in sighns and look around at the bottem of them and therell be a lot of empty shells for free to take... i have lots from working on my grandpearents farm ...

mole 08-20-2005 10:24 PM

in the city as in...NYC?

RudeBoyStompin 08-22-2005 07:41 PM

Do you think it's safe to put posterboard through my printer? I want to do this so that I can cut a stencil directly rather than printing out the stencil on paper and having to tape it to posterboard and then cut.

me likes punk 08-22-2005 07:51 PM

you can set your printer to print out thick paper, but it's still risky. i'd just draw the picture on posterboard.

RudeBoyStompin 08-22-2005 08:02 PM

Meh, I tried it and it worked.

I've done it before, it works. But the ink stays wet for a long *** time so watch out for that. :thumb:

Looks like the stencil came out pretty good, hope the finished product does as well.
