Can anyone think of any IDM where it's got organic sounding live drums in it?
Yerr |
The American Dollar's Atlas, perhaps? A post-rock, electronic, ambient sort of thing.
Power electronics? :interested:
Check out and report back how much you hate - Whitehouse - Great White Death Brethren - Savage Inequalities
Super-fast atonal jazz is sir.
It doesn't give me quite the same feeling as PiL, Joy Division, Gang of Four etc. |
anyone heard Crisis? Douglas P. and Tony Wakeford's post-punk group before they went on to DiJ, Holocaust Hymns is pretty good

i've been listening to quite a bit of ambient recently while studying. i ****ing love Deaf Center. also enjoying Grouper, Bohren & Der Club Of Gore, The Dead Texan and Tim Hecker a lot. and to a slightly lesser extent; Gas, Stars of the Lid and Svarte Greiner. |
Saito Koji's Beautiful is excellent study music i've found.
|
i'll check that out.
aphex twin's rhubarb on repeat is really good too. |
dblitz did you check out throbbing gristle yet ?
|
anyone into solitary experiments?
|
I heard a song from them the other day on a local college radio station, and I thought they were decent. Albums to start off with?
|
my solitary experiments are of no concern to anybody else
|
which Sol Invictus album should I get first
|
which Sol Invictus album should I get first
Lex Talionis, Trees in Winter and King & Queen are amongst my favourites, a lot of Sol Invictus sounds awfully similar though. Check out Thrones for some weird bastardised fusion of folk, neoclassical and noir jazz. |

Darren is also the creator/curator of the in B-flat project/site. |
Maurizio Bianchi's Symphony For A Genocide is possibly one of the best noise releases i've listened to.
|
I'm in love with Red Harvest, industrial music that makes me happy lol
http://www.myspace.com/redharvestplanet cold dark matter ftw |

http://www.discogs.com/artist/Maurizio+Bianchi http://www.sputnikmusic.com/band/Maurizio+Bianchi It's as if Aaron has been recording since the 70's. |
Needs more meanderingly pointless EPs. I shall check this cat out, however.
