Bob & Doug were on SCTV, it was Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas. When SCTV started getting broadcasted internationally (thus influencing shows like The Simpsons), networks wanted more Canadian content. Thus Bob & Doug were born. You've seen them or felt their influence I'm sure, they perpetuated the "eh?" stereotype, made us all look like hockey hooligans, always wore vests for some reason, called beer drinkers "hosers", blablabla.

I don't know of any "enormous penis" song.

Eliminator 03-19-2008 04:07 PM

also an unhealthy obssession with back bacon

Moon Flavor 03-19-2008 04:07 PM

You're in denial duder. That really is how canadians are...

Stuff like this makes it all the more hilarious to us.

No! I don't go around saying America isn't actually a bunch of fat ignorant slobs, and likewise you should accept the fact that your country really is a bunch of pancake-eating hockey players.

The Canadian stereotype, true or not, is a lot better than the USAian stereotype

Ya hċċċċċċċċċċċċċser

Iluvatar 03-19-2008 08:32 PM

Id rather eat bacon all day than pancakes.

Glitterati 03-19-2008 08:34 PM

have fun with your heart attack then

1338 h4x0r 03-19-2008 08:35 PM

Pancakes, hash browns and bacon sound really good right about now

Tyler 03-19-2008 08:37 PM

bacon and cheese make everything better.

no exceptions.

Iluvatar 03-19-2008 08:39 PM

that is the american way of thinking there!

Deth 03-19-2008 08:44 PM

I don't know if anyone watched the new South Park, but its was possibly the worst episode I've ever seen.

The Door Mouse 03-19-2008 08:45 PM

I missed it. It looked dumb though.

Iluvatar 03-19-2008 08:46 PM

I still haven't seen any of last season

even though it was supposed to have been amazing

Apocalyptic Raids 03-19-2008 08:47 PM

the new South Park stuff I've seen has been kinda average.

Deth 03-19-2008 08:51 PM

There were some decent ones last year, but it's getting worse as a whole.

But tonight was on a different level.

Nowhere near as dumb as the taco that crapped ice cream

Deth 03-19-2008 08:54 PM

 not as dumb but probably worse.

To Tyler: wat

Glitterati 03-19-2008 08:58 PM

I never really liked South Park.

Tyler 03-19-2008 08:58 PM

to Jono
the new South Park stuff I've seen has been kinda average.
Last year was mixed. Had some of the best stuff they've ever done, and then there was Lice Capades.

Deth 03-19-2008 08:58 PM

Yeah, Lice Capades was truly terrible.

Iluvatar 03-19-2008 08:59 PM

Dexter is better so it doesn't matter.
Dexter is better so it doesn't matter.
yes i love that show. im waiting for season 2 to come out on dvd, hoping it does before season 3. im terrible at watching shows when theyre on tv (even with DVR) so i prefer to just get them on dvd. season 1 was so awesome, i was on the edge of my seat the second i guessed who the Icetruck killer was

Iluvatar 03-19-2008 09:38 PM

I guessed it right after I saw him in the hospital and he was flirting with the sister.

I dunno I liked the second season better but most people disagree with me apparently.

TojesDolan 03-19-2008 09:52 PM

South Park used to have moments.

big80smullet 03-19-2008 10:08 PM

i never liked south park eithr. i have honestly never laughed at a southpark joke either

Angmar 03-19-2008 10:13 PM

South Park had some great moments but I never saw it as like an amazing show or anything.

FatalEnergy 03-19-2008 10:13 PM

It's not what it used to be, but still at least it's not as shitty as the Simpsons are now
