Sorry to double post but I had to bring up Iommi's solo album. I just listened to a couple of samples from a web site and I hate it. Now some people might like it but it is so different to sabbath I would never have geussed that it was Iommi who wrote it. Anyone else heard the album?

Just to add this, Tony's solos in the Dio years are also totally differant. Just look at 'Turn up the night'.

I dont think Sabbath will play at Download. I read somewhere that the only festival they will do this summer is Roskilde..

*going there :D *

Brew 01-29-2005 05:51 AM

If Sabbath do play England, it'll either be in the form of an Ozzfest or an arena tour.

Hopefully.

Listening to an OZZ interveiw from '97 online.
If you wanna check it out go to

www.abc.net.au/triplej and select Full Metal Racket.
Listen to the last program, and it's about 3 quarters of the way down.

Well, it looks like Sabbath is gearing up for more touring in 2005. Aside
from my story the other day, there was a second festival mentioned, as well
as a tour of the US and Europe (link).

It appears that Sabbath will be touring both Europe and the United States
this summer. Whether this is part of Ozzfest, or on their own, I don't
know. Personally, I hope it's on their own, so we can get a proper set list
that isn't just Iron Man / War Pigs / Paranoid.

No word on the actual band lineup (although I would assume it's with Bill
Ward) or whether it might be Adam Wakeman or Geoff Nicholls on keyboards.
No dates or anything like that yet, but when I get them, they'll be here.

However, oddly enough I still can't get a formal confirmation of all this
from band's management. It's starting to appear all over the place now, so
there's probably more to it than just a mistake at this point, but until I
get an official word on it from band management, I'll wait on creating a
new tour page for it. However, once I do, I'll be starting up again
collecting tour advertisements, ticket stubs, things of that nature.

Subject: Bill Ward wants your questions!
Date: Fri 28 Jan 2005

As regular Bill Ward site visitors know, Bill has been doing a monthly
radio programme over the Internet. Well, with 2005 being the 35th
anniversary of Black Sabbath's first album release, Bill wants to do
something special with his programme.

To this, he wants to collect your questions via email and will read and
answer some of them on his show. So, if you have a question for Bill Ward,
please email it to the following address: rock50@billward.com. Just make
sure the question is about Black Sabbath. :)

Then make sure to listen in to the February 5th edition of "Rock 50" and
see if Bill reads your question on the air! For further info on Bill & the
Rock 50 show, visit the Rock 50 page over at billward.com.
