Again, I don't any of you have really listened to all of his material.

Admittedly, he does have some pretty bad songs, but overall he is good at composing primitive BM.

Plus there is the ideological/thematic side of BM that requires a certain amount of simplicity.

Hmmm, but Bone Awl rule. Volahn is another really good "primitive" or raw black metal band, Moonblood etc.

but Ildjarn as far as I remember are really boring, but i gotta listen again like I said before. My opinion might change, I just gotta be in the mood I guess.

nah dude ive heard at least 5 of his releases. i went through a bbh phase a few years ago and gobbled up anything those guys put out. back then i liked it, but i blindly liked anything from the genre in those dark, dark days. i dont think i could sit through a single track of his anymore.
