i think he's saying that there's better bands that metallica, 'cause the other guy said that he hasn't heard anything greater than metallica.

metallica is my favorite band, but i know there's way betters bands than metallica in the world.

A favorite and a best is very different. Metallica is one of my favorite bands, but I know they aren't the best.

There are more talented bands out there, but best band is the one you like the best. And nobody really listens to music cause band is talented or not.

When someone says they're the best band, they probably mean they sound the best. Meaning they have best sounding songs. Not that they are the most talented.

Sadly, that isn't true. Lots of people will say something is the best, because they are ignorant and think that it is better than everything else, and that's the literal meaning, and how some people mean it.

It's safer to say favorite.

i think the best band is really the best, not just your favorite.
when someone has a crappy band(not metallica) as his favorite and he close his mind saying that they are the best, people will disrespect his musical knowledge and he probably become ignorant.

Metallica is my favorite band. They are now far from the best (even though if it were '86 I'd say they were both) because of bands like Dream Theater and etc nowadays.

Yes it is official that they are hitting the studios early 2006 to create an album that will hopefully be realeased in the mid summer.

i think it will keep getting worse like st anger. i hope they go back to there roots. that would be real nice

St. Anger wasn't that bad. I think people hate it so much just because its Metallica and we have heard so much more better stuff from them. I think The new album will be better than St. Anger the new Bassest, Robert Trujillo is an awsom bassist and i think he'll change thing up just a little bit, but it would be awsome if they make atleast one more thrash album.

Im with the guy above.If they come out with a new album it will be far better than st. anger because that crazy caveman of a bassist will be able to put his input and expertise into the mix unlike anger when by the time he joined all of it was written and all he did was play it
