CONNER_NWHC 07-13-2005 04:29 PM

xliferuinerx is playing here in august.
The lock out is over
HELLZ YEAH!

This season is gonna rule since I live in Orange County and I get to see my favorite team whenever I want AND Sergei Federov is on the Ducks. Favorite team + favorite player = childhood dreams come true.

Now I need to trade someone for Kariya and Selanne and I'll have a kickin wing team.

YEAH

CONNER_NWHC 07-13-2005 04:37 PM

Kariya live a block from me

40 oz 2 freedom 07-13-2005 04:42 PM

I'd say so.

_Tyler 07-13-2005 04:44 PM

See, Pat has some sense.

40 oz 2 freedom 07-13-2005 04:45 PM

I don't see how someone can LOVE With Honor and hate KYI. It blows my mind.

young, loud and andrew 07-13-2005 04:57 PM

I don't hate KYI. In fact, I don't really hate any hardcore bands. I just don't like them and I didn't like their live performance.

pOOPY 07-13-2005 05:09 PM

The video shoot was so sick. I danced hard and sang a long a lot. I was the only one who stage dove (the stage was in a weird position, and there weren't enough people to dive onto, so I dove onto Mike's friend and some other guy). I got punched in the balls by some guy who looked exactly like Wolverine, just bigger, then I got kicked in the gut and balls twice by this one guy. It broke the clip on my pants (Dickies). I had to stand in the 100+ degree heat for about an hour and 45 minutes before we went in though.

Nataroo 07-13-2005 05:40 PM

With Honor are leading the way when it comes to breakneck hardcore, everyone else is playing catch up.

They outplay just about every other hardcore band too.

(The album is awesome, but the 3 tracks on their split with the distance are like the next level.)

_Tyler 07-13-2005 05:45 PM
With Honor are leading the way when it comes to breakneck hardcore, everyone else is playing catch up.
What do you mean 'breakneck hardcore'?

Nataroo 07-13-2005 05:50 PM

Ump ka umpum ka ump ka umpum ka riffriff......breakdown for half a bar.....ump ka.

Just totally fast energetic stuff i.e most non 'heavy' hardcore.

_Tyler 07-13-2005 05:51 PM

Well come on, you can't say they're 'leading the way' for most hardcore bands. They've only been around for like 3 years

I liked that umpka thing though

Nataroo 07-13-2005 05:54 PM

I thinking more through musicianship. With Honor have more ideas in one track than most bands have for a whole record, including not sticking with standard structuring and outplaying just about everyone around.

For details listen to 'Gun for hire'.

For me they are to Hardcore what Hot Cross are to emo.

young, loud and andrew 07-13-2005 05:59 PM

Like them or not, you have to admit With Honor is an extremely technical band when it comes to hardcore. I love them so much.

pOOPY 07-13-2005 06:00 PM

My shirts from Rivalry got here.

I like them and they're musicianship is great but I would definitely not say that they are 'leading the way' for most hardcore bands. You can be technical and that's great but that is not what makes a great band.

Nataroo 07-13-2005 06:03 PM

Totally, there really should be more technical actual hardcore bands, Im planning on starting somekinda hardcore Strung out. Im kinda tech heavy when I play, meaning I cant play through a song without shredding a couple of tasteful riffs into it (Maybe one day ill record my version of 'False Idols Fall')

I didnt mean it in that way (otherwise Id have said Bane). More of an example of what CAN be done.

Are you the one who recorded that song "Diet Coke Anarchy"? I've had it on my computer for a long time (I guess your name is Nate Brooke) and I listen to it every so often. Anyway, it ****ing shreds. Go start a band right now!

Nataroo 07-13-2005 06:37 PM

Ha, you are clearly awesome. Ive been too picky to just start a band with anyone, Im hoping im gonna find the right peple when I move to London in september.

The Flyers will also do good this year. The Ducks won't get Kariya or Selanne back, who'd they get traded for in the first place?

We bought a boat today. I can't wait to get everything set up.

how long is it and what size is the engine? engines are so expinsive these days, its like $900 for a 15 h.p.

NewKindofArmy03 07-13-2005 08:27 PM

It's a 19 foot Maxum with 225 hp. I don't know about the engine, but i'll try to find a picture of the one we're getting.

EDIT-I found the info for the engine- 4.3L MPI Alpha I (220 HP

conniption 07-13-2005 08:44 PM

****, thats a big engine for such a small boat, that thing is gonna fly, i take it it is for the ocean, because i dont think lakes allow for that size of an engine unless it is a huge lake.

NewKindofArmy03 07-13-2005 09:01 PM

We're going to use it for a big river, and maybe half a season down the bay/ocean. The standard is something like 160 HP and you can also get a 260hp engine for it, costs a lot more though.

At some place today, I found a 28' Wellcraft Scarab for $16,000. I would want it because those things fly, but my dad didn't want to by a used boat let alone one from 1988. Plus gas is expensive enough as it is.
