radtaste 01-07-2008 04:04 AM

Hey Tojes, it's me, radtaste!

TojesDolan 01-07-2008 04:06 AM

Yes, I'm well aware of that. How are you.

radtaste 01-07-2008 04:11 AM

You're still online.

Here, have a question mark?
I just sat in front of a fire for two hours and now I smell like smoke.
It's amazing how clingy the smell of smoke is. I once wore a jacket around a fire for half an hour, and it spent the rest of the week smelling of smoke.

FatalEnergy 01-07-2008 05:40 AM

Nice Avatar.

I have been meaning to watch Holy Grail again.

Meaning of Life is my favorite though

radtaste 01-07-2008 05:43 AM

Same here. Very random, I prefer that over the somewhat focused themes in their other big movies.

Riva 01-07-2008 05:46 AM

I think Meaning Of Life is Monty Python's worst outing, personally. It's sort of like the fourth season of Flying Circus, the dynamic changes when they lose a member.

EDIT: Ok, Graham still has a writing credit for Meaning Of Life. I thought he had pretty much written himself off the project. :-/ My memory is going, I guess.
Same here. Very random, I prefer that over the somewhat focused themes in their other big movies.
Let me guess, Life Of Brian is your least favourite MP movie?

FatalEnergy 01-07-2008 05:47 AM

I'd like to get some of the seasons on DVD.

Too bad I'm broke :(

Riva 01-07-2008 05:48 AM

It's cheap as chips to get the Monty Python 16-Ton Megaset off of Amazon.com.

radtaste 01-07-2008 05:50 AM
Let me guess, Life Of Brian is your least favourite MP movie?
Nein, wouldn't say I have a least favourite MP movie. I have Meaning of Life on the top tier, Life of Brian and the Holy Grail below, and And Now For Something Completely Different down below those two (not because it's my least favourite, it just isn't in the same class).

Riva 01-07-2008 06:05 AM

Which is odd cos And Now For Something Completely Different is the same as Meaning Of Life in that it abandons extended story telling and focuses on short skits. But it is a Best Of as well, so that sort of counts against it.

I assumed you liked Life Of Brian the least because it was their most narrative driven movie, with a lot less "silly for the sake of silly" moments.

repcak 01-07-2008 06:16 AM

Jason, do you already know when you are going to come to austria?

Riva 01-07-2008 06:19 AM

Yes I have been meaning to get your email address, I didn't realise I didn't have it.

I should be arriving in Austria on the 29th of January, and leaving again on the night of the 2nd of February, I think. In any case, we're staying at the Wombat Lounge, but I'd love to catch up for a few pints with you. :)

repcak 01-07-2008 06:25 AM
It's amazing how clingy the smell of smoke is. I once wore a jacket around a fire for half an hour, and it spent the rest of the week smelling of smoke.
I kinda like that smell. It reminds me of youth spent out in the wilderness, fishing and making food on a camp fire.

Glitterati 01-07-2008 07:09 AM

I used to looooooooooove Monty Python but I completely burned myself out on it too fast.

FatalEnergy 01-07-2008 07:36 AM

Is that possible?

big80smullet 01-07-2008 07:41 AM

Monty python is cool. Im more into the new school of british comedy. The boosh, peep show, league of gentlemen etc.

Apocalyptic Raids 01-07-2008 07:55 AM

The Mighty Boosh is great.

Riva 01-07-2008 08:05 AM

I have That Mitchell And Webb Look season one on DVD. :)

big80smullet 01-07-2008 08:15 AM

meh i could take it or leave it tbh. its pretty bland. Ruddy hell its harry and paul is by far the greatest sketch show on tv atm.

I have peep show seasons 1-3 on DVD :thumb:

repcak 01-07-2008 08:21 AM

i was never big into monty Python, except of "always look on the bright sight a life... " :D

Jason, did you got my mail?

gmoneyguy 01-07-2008 08:33 AM

Life of Brian is my favorite MP. :p

pate 01-07-2008 08:38 AM

I've never seen any MP.

repcak 01-07-2008 08:43 AM
Life of Brian is my favorite MP. :p
its the only movie i#ve seen full and the only one i really liked.

big80smullet 01-07-2008 08:50 AM

I like their flying circus stuff tbh. The movies were cool and all but the series was the best.

Faulty towers was the ****!

Apocalyptic Raids 01-07-2008 08:58 AM

I've got The Meaning of Life on DVD but I don't think I've watched all of it yet.

Kingofdudes 01-07-2008 09:22 AM

First day of classes today :/

repcak 01-07-2008 09:49 AM

10min left and i'm off from work... i'm hungry as hell, can't wait for the pizza i will buy pretty soon, before i go to the last lesson today :)

gmoneyguy 01-07-2008 10:04 AM

I get to go to lunch in 2 hours.

Tyr 01-07-2008 10:22 AM

For the record: my sleeping schedule is still ****ed up. It's 5.21 PM and I woke up fifteen minutes ago. Now I'm off to take a shower.
Life of Brian is my favorite MP. :p
I wonder why...
I've never seen any MP.
Does. Not. Compute.

superpeer 01-07-2008 10:32 AM

Holy Grail is my favourite, but it's all good.

Tyr 01-07-2008 10:39 AM

I need to watch Life of Brian again. It's been quite a few years.

ATM 01-07-2008 10:59 AM

My buddy went to go watch some MP in theaters a few weeks ago, some marathon thing they were doing at a local theater.

He said the crowd wouldn't stop saying every line along with the movie :P
