i have a question. im just starting to get into black metal and i seen the phrase "trve kvlt" thrown around alot. what exactly does that mean?

RouteOne 09-27-2009 06:02 PM

Its more or less a inside joke about bands being good, or you can say it sarcastically about a terrible band. Some people take it pretty seriously though and use it. Sort of lol.

Nepenthe 09-27-2009 06:03 PM

its when a song has steady double bass through the entire tracks length

It's when the 'spooky action at a distance' can be explained by Einstein's field equations and the Quantum Mechanics taken together. According to Einstein, space (or rather space-time) is a stress-energy tensor field that can be distorted, bent, shaped, etc. Think of an elastic sheet or rubber. Now, you're gonna ask how can empty space be acted upon like that. This is where the Quantum Mechanics comes in. According it, vacuum is not really empty, or nothingness. Vacuum is the lowest state of energy. Basically, there is energy present in some form or another absolutely EVERYWHERE in the Universe. You can't have space without any energy, even if there are no particles of matter present. This "sea" of energy is what makes Einstein's tensor field distortable. Going back to my example with the rubber sheet, this sheet represents not just the space but also the energy that is indivisibly tied to it. By changing the properties of energy in that space, you also change the properties of space itself.

its like a contest to see who can be the most pretentious basement dweller

TricksterGRex 09-27-2009 06:35 PM

Forest Poetry is the only Ildjarn i have and i like it a lot

Angmar 09-27-2009 06:37 PM

Are there any Ildjarn albums that are more comprehensible and have like... recognizable riffs? Forest Poetry was just too much of a mess for my tastes.

AA-12 09-27-2009 06:38 PM

not worth listening to

Txus 09-27-2009 06:38 PM

Forest Poetry is the one I checked like 2 years ago and it sucked so bad. Will look into it once again, though.

TricksterGRex 09-27-2009 06:42 PM

i don't know i like a lot of crappy raw black metal so i might not be a reliable source and whether or not you'd like it

Txus 09-27-2009 06:43 PM

Well, I like a bunch of lo fi crappy raw black metal too so yeah

I just felt that album was boring and the songs never went anywhere. Downloading again now.

RetiredAt21 09-27-2009 06:44 PM

Strength and Anger is good but kind of hard to listen to.

RouteOne 09-27-2009 06:49 PM

Carl Sagan 09-27-2009 06:50 PM

masscows 09-27-2009 06:51 PM
