One Missed Call has 00% on RottenTomatoes.

ghey. i hope you enjoy paying extra for a substandard product that will likely **** you over in the future. You do realise that if vista doesnt like the software you put on it, ie it deems them inappropriate according to its DRM standards it will shut down permanently and the only way to unlock it is to buy another copy of vista. oh and in the T&C you sign when you use vista it says that microsoft is allowed to do it and you have no recourse.
Ill stick with ubuntu. They have it in 64 bit as well :/ |
ghey. i hope you enjoy paying extra
omg an extra $15 for OEM is so much extra
for a substandard product
Matter of opinion, I know many people that love it.
You do realise that if vista doesnt like the software you put on it, ie it deems them inappropriate according to its DRM standards it will shut down permanently and the only way to unlock it is to buy another copy of vista.
omg no wai srsly? It would be nice of you to back up those claims with some evidence instead of just spouting propaganda siphoned off the Apple-led Vista hate machine.
Ill stick with ubuntu. They have it in 64 bit as well :/
Yeah but I play real games. |
Seriously, Luc, Vista is the worst piece of **** ever.
|
It's 7.42 AM and I'm off to bed a second time this night (or whatever it right now).
|
That's what everyone said about XP as well when it first came out.
http://www.information-age.com/article/2001/december/windows_xp_sales_disappoint http://www.softwaretipsandtricks.com/forum/windows-xp/319-win-98-better-than-windows-xp.html http://4peeps.com/ivb/index.php?showtopic=208&st=80&start=80 http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_zdext/is_200111/ai_ziff17971 http://discuss.pcmag.com/forums/thread/13671069.aspx Oh and have you actually used it for yourself or have you just watched one too many Mac vs PC ads? |
People said that about XP when XP came out because it was a piece of **** initially. It's still pretty terrible but SP2 made it at least useful.
And the Mac vs PC ads are mostly true. Windows will always be a downgraded Mac OS with thousands more menus and overcomplicated file structures. Sorry man but Vista can suck my nuts. |
Yeah, XP wasn't that good either.
And yes luc, I've used Vista a bunch of times and it simply sucks. |
Interestingly enough a lot of Mac users are liking Vista.
Well Mike I used it on my dad's computer once and yes my experience was terrible. However I've used it since then on decent computers and it runs really well and feels great to use. I get fed up with Mac OS X after 10 minutes of use, not because I don't know how to use it, but because it's cumbersome and slow in comparison to even XP. |
Besides Linux is getting more support everywhere so meh.
|
**** that, linux is the best!
|
Interestingly enough a lot of Mac users are liking Vista.
Because Vista is full of Macknockoff features. I'd like it too if it wasn't for it's inept security measures and stupid DRM. |
besides my 10 year old sisters 266 can run ubuntu 7.10 with more graphical effets than vista can be run on a top of the line machine. Its a RAM hog
Why would you want to buy a product that may one day be good when there are several alternatives that are cheaper and are good now. You can play pretty much every game in linux, either you can run it through linux or you can do it through an emulator which doesnt slow it down any cause you dont have the massive burden of vista sucking all your RAM The things vista knocked off from mac were knocked of from linux several years ago. When vista can do the cube and wobbly windows better than my sisters 266 can i will be start to think about it |
if not you can just run it through an emulator. its not too hard
|
Because Vista is full of Macknockoff features. I'd like it too if it wasn't for it's inept security measures and stupid DRM.
I assume you're talking about the way it questions you every time you make a small change. You do know you can turn that off. And as for DRM, I thought that only related to high def content.
besides my 10 year old sisters 266 can run ubuntu 7.10 with more graphical effets than vista can be run on a top of the line machine. Its a RAM hog
It does run a lot of unneccesary processes, but you can turn those off.
Why would you want to buy a product that may one day be good when there are several alternatives that are cheaper and are good now.
Because like it or not, DX10 is the future of gaming and Windows has monopolized it.
The things vista knocked off from mac were knocked of from linux several years ago. When vista can do the cube and wobbly windows better than my sisters 266 can i will be start to think about it
Why would you even want to run anything on a 266? BTW Mike I would use Linux if I didn't game and wasn't a sucker for luscious graphical skins. :p |
You do know you can turn that off.
Doesn't that completely compromise your security integrity? |
BTW Mike I would use Linux if I didn't game and wasn't a sucker for luscious graphical skins. :p
You can make libux look better than vista tbh. my linux actually looks exactly like vista minus the windoze logos She uses a 266 cause shes 10 and she wanted a computer so my dad bought it for 20 bucks with screen, spray painted it pink and put ubuntu on it. She just draws and uses the net :/ |
Doesn't that completely compromise your security integrity?
As far as I can tell all it does is make Vista plant a red X warning icon on your taskbar and you can turn that off. And stops asking your permission. I SUPPOSE it could be detrimental, as a virus infested program for example could be run automatically, but I mean, XP doesn't nag you and I haven't had any problems except ones that were my own fault.
You can make libux look better than vista tbh. my linux actually looks exactly like vista minus the windoze logos She uses a 266 cause shes 10 and she wanted a computer so my dad bought it for 20 bucks with screen, spray painted it pink and put ubuntu on it. The thing with linux is that it can run almost ANYTHING, I think it can run anything with an emulator...I'm in love with Ubuntu tbqh. What I hate about Vista is that it's so ****ing slow compared to Ubuntu.
Luc: Linux can look 100000 better than vista. |
Yeah but still, DX10. :\
Even if it's not being well implemented/utilized now, I'm sure when 2008 really gets rolling and the next series of video cards hit the market we'll see some really impressive stuff. |
the thing is linux has been a few years ahead of windows and mac for a while. Microsoft is just lucky that the things being done on linux dont get patented so they can implement them :P
Did you hear about microsoft being shafted over the standardised document format thing? Microsoft did some last minute lobbying that was a bit dodgy. Every country got to cast a vote for what format should be a standard document format. Apparently a lot of countries started voting for microsoft at the last second after a few "donations". The funniest one was azerbaijan voting for it when .doc doesnt even support azerbaijani script  It ended up being an open document format as standard so microsoft have to enable people to use it now  gutted for them |
I wouldn't say it's ahead of Windows and Mac, it's just less user friendly, and more personalized. Windows and Mac are for noobs like me who suck with electronics, Linux is for cool kids like this:
