That is so true.
My band got a call on Tuesday asking us to play a gig last night, but we weren't allowed to take any friends because all the tickets had been sold. So we think "Alright, it will be like all the other local gigs we've ever played". When we get there, both the other bands are all-girl bands, and there are 3 lads in the crowd.
Needless to say, it was like playing on an emo-top of the pops to girls 2-3 years younger than me, and they were all scenesters too.

Now we have a BOTB tonight where we have some tough competition. Hopefully I will be able to get good quality audio and video because they are doing a dvd of it and last year the sound was great, so I may end up posting our set.
