This is how I got when I began to learn "Linus and Lucy" by the Vince Guaraldi Trio. It seemed like the left hand would be playing the same rhythm while the right hand was basically playing lead (as far as guitar goes), but as soon as it gets to the jazz swing, it all goes downhill and the song is pretty difficult for me.

EDIT: This is for piano, by the way... so if metal guitar is around and has any advice, I'd be glad to read it, heh :)

The obvious solution would be to play it slower. That's how I roll, heh.

I'd assume that the same technique for guitar would stand with the piano - play it slowly and accurately to get all the motions in your head, then gradually step up the BPM once you feel comfortable.

Hahaha, good story. People can be a bit slow sometimes. I had a similar situation happen with someone, and you can't help but laugh when the light goes off in his head that asking somebody is a pretty effective way of getting an answer.

Since funds are low right now, I'm just getting an inverted cross on my wrist :lol: I just figured I'd go get one cause I'm gettin' Nichole one on Friday, so I figured what the hell...but it'll be pretty fancy shmancy for a "small tattoo". When I look down on it, it'll be inverted, but when people look at it, it will be all happy shiny Jesus-like, so I guess it appeals to everyone :lol:

No piercings or ink on me. I toyed with the idea of an earpiece or eyebrow piece... back when I was in high school. And I'm pretty sure my father would threaten to rip it out if he saw me with it. Grant it, I wouldn't have to worry about that now, but now my job is getting more and more anal about things with piercings and ink, so I don't want to have to put up with that at all.
