I've decided that this weekend I will draw a picture of a nerd. Possibly while listening to glam rock.

Quick question - I'm looking into trying out a Lungfish album. Suggestions?

Dog 02-03-2006 09:21 PM

^Lungfish are a great band, man. I'd say try out Artificial Horizon first but I think The Unanimous Hour is often regarded as their best. I've never heard a bad album from them, though.

Tangy zizzle 02-03-2006 10:27 PM

Georgie, I can't stop drinkin', seems like everytime I try I can't stop thinkin', Georgie...

Good, it's about time.

Zmev 02-04-2006 12:04 AM

So the show went well, once I get a video of it (which I will) I'll put it on YouTube.

br3ad_man 02-04-2006 12:49 AM

I just watched Welcome To The Dollhouse. It was really good.

Kyle 02-04-2006 08:25 AM

So, I saw the Strokes last night, they were amazing. They played like 24 songs and it was a pefect set. the only song I wanted them to play and they didin;t was Under Control, but even then it wasn't important. I was just happy that they played Trying your luck and New York City Cops.

The only thing that nearly ruined the gig was the silly amount of really young children there who thought it essential to get to the front and cause mass pushing. I could barely breath for the first few songs and had to step back into some space.

Love, love that movie! Underappreciated Solondz flick. Storytelling & Happiness are both wonderful as well. See all of his films if you're a fan of one.

My boyfriend and I are now taking a break. I smoked about a million cigarettes. Shiiiit.

ATM 02-04-2006 10:49 AM

haha yea ive done that before. had a serious talk and smoked too many cigarettes.

Scott Herren 02-04-2006 11:16 AM

I just got Damien Rice - O at a garage sale for $2.00.

I saw Fun House for $5.99 two days ago.

I didn't buy it.

And now I'm kicking myself.

JonM 02-04-2006 12:22 PM
I just got Damien Rice - O at a garage sale for $2.00.
That's an especially good deal because, for some reason, that CD costs like $20 everywhere I've seen it.

Scott Herren 02-04-2006 12:31 PM

That's exactly the reason I was rubbing it in.

Moron.
Moron.
Of course, the only reason I didn't buy it was because I didn't have enough cash for that and the latest Bloc Party album.

So you'd buy a Bloc Party album over the Stooges?

Glitterati 02-04-2006 01:16 PM

So you get sarcasm?

I was already buying some DVDs at the time, anyway.

Not in your case since I know you listen to some pretty shitty bands.

ATM 02-04-2006 03:20 PM

argh RJD2 sold out. I was going to go tonight.

2muchket! 02-04-2006 03:28 PM

Is it worth getting Silent Alarm I've heard loads of good stuff about them but I can't make up my mind whether to get that or London Calling.

Belle & Sebastian sold out too.

I'll try to get a hold of them, thought that may be difficult. I was quite surprised to see "Dollhouse" sitting on the shelf at my video store. From Dollhouse and reading the synopsis of Palindromes, I get the feeling that Todd Solondz is a very strange man indeed.

Last night I watched Maria Full of Grace. It may well be the best foreign language film I've ever seen and that's a big call.

London Calling, no question.

The Clash are incredible.
