i cant even find a decent bass drum
Just uninstall the other way and install the new one.

unknownsoldier12 10-12-2006 12:21 PM

whats poppin' Mitch?

MRDuCran 10-12-2006 01:55 PM

Just finished cutting the grass now I'm about to play some geetar. Might practise Bed of Razors or something since Repcak wants to record the full song, I just hope his tone and playing are what I'm expecting.

unknownsoldier12 10-12-2006 02:03 PM

eh, if he can't do it, ill try to find a way to do take over for him...

I should have the internet up and running in less than a week. I thought I could get it all done today, but I might need to schedule a house call

Shadows Within 10-12-2006 02:22 PM

I can try the keys out if you wan't but It will probally be wrong, but atleast it wont sound robotic.

Wouldn't that mean you'd have to go over to that guys hosue and bug him about using all his stuff? But I'm sure he'll be able to record, not sure about playing though because the rhythm isn't that easy. Especially with all those little fills all over the place...

Shadows, that'd be cool yeah. We'll probably do parts of or all over BoR and ETID since it's basically up to Repcak to choose.

unknownsoldier12 10-12-2006 02:30 PM

i actually slowed it down and started working on parts of that track again. I'm not worried about nailing it, if that's what you mean.

I'm sure once this internet thing starts rolling, I might have to get something to record

MRDuCran 10-12-2006 02:31 PM

That'd be benificial. Even now I still hear things that I need to improve on. It's not speed suprisingly, it's the subtle things like bends and vibrato. I sometimes think I record too much.

Actually I dunno if id be able to do BoR because the Hasrpsichord parts are tough.

unknownsoldier12 10-12-2006 02:35 PM

i guess it really depends on how you set your goals. I know if im trying to nail a section, Ill loop it for 10 minutes straight till I'm happy. At that point, Ill play a few bars before it, and when I transition into that part I've been working on, I try to focus on doing what I practiced, and eliminate the mistakes before they happen again.

I need to work on rhythm the most (not timing mind you), so thats really what I've been working on...

that and sweeps

Really? I would have thought that'd be one of the easier parts. Even I can play arpeggios like that on piano, probably around that speed.

Yeah I know that but you never play something exactly the same. I know you can hit all the right notes etc but just simple things like what I said can differ and when you're practising, you don't really notice but when you listen back to a recording, you really do.

unknownsoldier12 10-12-2006 02:45 PM

yea, but that's something I try to be mindful of at all times. Sure, a recording will allow you to see it even more so, but I try to incorporate that into my practice.

I try to fret every note the same, as well as having my picking motion extremely uniform. Sure, it's never 'perfect', but I try to resemble a robot when I'm practicing.

I better be. :smash:

publicastration 10-12-2006 02:56 PM

Is there any CoB in C standard? I know Hate Crew Deathroll is in drop C.

unknownsoldier12 10-12-2006 02:57 PM
Mainly aimed at repcak: I played through Bed of Razors earlier and I can actually play the end of the chorus melody perfectly now. Before, I used to mess it up but now I can do it without thinking/looking, yay.
thats actually my favorite part to play :chug:

repcak 10-12-2006 02:58 PM
I better be. :smash:
but don't expect anything soon... i will need at least one month...
my wrist is ok, but my sinews hurts still and everybody says i should rest it longer... so probably i won't play guitar on monday... maybe end of next week... fukk... that will be now 4weeks without guitar :upset:

MRDuCran 10-12-2006 03:02 PM

Well whenever you're ready of course.
Is there any CoB in C standard? I know Hate Crew Deathroll is in drop C.
Nope. HCDR the song is in D standard. The only songs off of that album are Sixpounder and Angel's Don't Kill.

unknownsoldier12 10-12-2006 03:09 PM

well Mitch, I'll re-add BoR to my routine and just start playing through it again....

MRDuCran 10-12-2006 03:11 PM

Maybe I should too. And maybe Towards Dead End or something, I can't play that anymore.

unknownsoldier12 10-12-2006 03:13 PM

i just can't do the sweeps up to speed

MRDuCran 10-12-2006 03:25 PM

Me neither...:(
