Has anyone here ever been to Maryland Deathfest? If so, when you went what were the set times like? Did it seem like bands were playing short sets so promoters could squeeze more bands in, or where they given a reasonable amount of time on stage?

I get sent so much **** that it's gotten to a point where I sometimes try to figure out if I should even check it out before I move onto the next one. It's not like I went out and downloaded it or anything.

So Nile's new album will be out November 3rd supposedly. Those Whom the Gods Detest. I'm excited for it.

Two of my favorite death metal bands are Morbid Angel and Immolation. To me, Nile sort of blends the sound of those two bands and adds their own style to it. I like mythology so the ideas behind the music is interesting also.

Nile are really boring

The only thing they have going are insane tempos, the songs get old. I did enjoy [I]Annihilation Of the Wicked[/I] but anything else was kinda boring

Well Nile is way faster but they both have this really dense sound, cool dissonant riffs. Nile uses the middle eastern scales so I guess that makes them sound a lot different, I see some similarities though.
