lol yeah we havent got to play our music in a long time cause we simply dont have anywhere to play. Lame. Every time I watch our videos I just wish we could still play our music everyday

there's 2 guys i've met around here who i might want to start a band with if i ever wanted to go through the trouble, one's an old dude who only listens to celtic frost and bathory and the other is a really good drummer who listens to more well known stuff like slayer, death etc

i have some material written already, i'll record it without drums and post it if i get around to it

the only attempt i ever made at starting a band was about a year or so ago

there was this girl i used to date who played cello and sang and was into alien sex fiend, bauhaus, skinny puppy, siouxsie and the banshees, etc. and there was my boy john who plays guitar and is into megadeth, metallica, guns and roses and such. what i had in mind was me on electronic beats, with him playing guitar and her doing vocals. it probably would have been the industrial rock band of the century but she hates my guts and won't talk to me now and he's going to the military. so right now im on the solo tip.

I've already made up my mind that I'm gonna get some sort of project together and put it out there on the local scene

but man it's gonna be a bitch. there's barely even an indie scene here, all there is is ska and screamo, people are gonna get pretty pissed when they go to a HXC SXE venue to see a show and I'm up on the stage stoned trying to bring the industrial pop punk doom sound

I havent played in a band in a long time. I used to do some Drone with a friend who was into Sunn and Nadja and a bunch of Industrial stuff, but he moved away. I have like 3 albums semi-finished of IDM and Ambient music, meh.

I'm actually giving serious consideration to doing a sort of Drone/shoegaze/pop project. something that basically up and says "this is how people that don't listen to metal interpret your doom metal stylings."

but man, that's a compromise and i still don't know any one musically elite enough for it.

I would love to start a doom band, considering we actually have a scene around here.

I'm from New Orleans. from what I hear we're really supposed to have a doom scene. I've yet to notice.
