I was thinking about recording the Hatebreeder solos with Repcak. The rhythm is pathetically easy and the solos are managable, I guess. I'll work on it.
sure, why not... i'm open for all suggestions :D

MRDuCran 10-10-2006 04:08 PM
well, maybe you could count me in on that in a couple of days...

I'm working on Bodom Beach and those SNBM sweeps. I wouldn't mind tackleing some sections of that track
Be my guest, I know I can't do the SNBN interlude section full speed yet.
sure, why not... i'm open for all suggestions
Cool. That's if I can actually play them...which is doubtful.
Not sure about keys, might as well use MIDI. It's not going to be a full blown cover, just a bit of the song for fun, I thinks.

Yepperz.

If you want I can do the keys with Fruity Loops so it will sound a bunch better. That is, if I can find time and if I can figure it out. Unless you happen to have all the parts on Guitar Pro with the guitars or something.

*AHEM* KEYBOARDIST *AHEM*

EDIT: wait what song are we doing?

metalhead_matt 10-11-2006 03:12 AM

the first hatebreeder solo is simple, fun to play aswell lol. i havent tried the second one, the other guitarist in my band plays it.

repcak 10-11-2006 03:40 AM

hey great... we have a keyboarder :D

Shadows Within 10-11-2006 07:05 AM

Not very good yet though

We don't really know. Repcak says he wants to play rhythm guitar so he's going to go through a list I made of songs at a certain tempo and he'll list the ones he'll be able to play, then it'll go from there. But Everytime I Die would easily be our best bet.

Shadows Within 10-11-2006 07:16 AM

I can play Downfall, Silent Night, Bodom Night and can learn the rest of Lil Bloodred Ridin Hood or Everytime I Die.

Solos will be a problem cause im really not very good at those yet, atleast in ETID's case or any of there other solos. but i can play DF SNBN and LBRR pretty well.

MRDuCran 10-11-2006 07:40 AM

The Downfall and SNBN parts are extremely hard, I'd be interested to hear those.

unknownsoldier12 10-11-2006 07:45 AM

agreed

lets hear some key solos

Shadows Within 10-11-2006 07:48 AM
The Downfall and SNBN parts are extremely hard, I'd be interested to hear those.
not as hard as some of there other stuff...

Ok I'll try out SNBN solo although don't quote me on the acuracy i can't find a good tab.

how do i get backround music for the solo, I don't have anything to record with unless i used cool edit pro, and you can't get backing music on there.

MRDuCran 10-11-2006 08:08 AM

Use the one I wrote out, the arpeggio parts are correct for sure now.

Shadows Within 10-11-2006 08:13 AM

yeah but is there any way to get a backing track onto a recording program cause its gonna sound kinda ghey without everything else.

EDIT: Nvm michael Angelo Batio look-alike is gonna send me the guitar.

only problem is last time he tried to send me the stuff it dodn't wrk so we'll see. and he said that his solo ****ed out mid-solo so it came out crappy, if its too crappy ill just record the keys.

MRDuCran 10-11-2006 08:19 AM

Is midi ok?

unknownsoldier12 10-11-2006 08:21 AM

I just use click tracks personally, but I do think it's more fun with a proper backing track

Shadows Within 10-11-2006 08:22 AM
Is midi ok?
see I have no idea how to use midi, nor do i probally have the nesccary equipment i think.

unknownsoldier12 10-11-2006 08:24 AM

how do you propose we hook you up with a backing track then

MRDuCran 10-11-2006 08:25 AM
see I have no idea how to use midi, nor do i probally have the nesccary equipment i think.
.wave file, then?

Shadows Within 10-11-2006 08:27 AM

I guess...lol this is way over my head, I have no Idea how midi even works.

Or even what it is for that matter...

MRDuCran 10-11-2006 08:27 AM

mp3?

unknownsoldier12 10-11-2006 08:28 AM

just use a metronome and screw the backing track. Its superfluous, and we just want to hear some keys :D

Shadows Within 10-11-2006 08:35 AM

Batio is sending me his parts he said there bad and he's gonna record them today but if they aren't that bad then ill just use that cause I have no idea how to work this damn metronome on Cool Edit Pro.

Ok here it is, the ****ty-probally wrong-9:00 recording of Silent Night, Bodom Night solo...I'd say enjoy but...you know.

http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=A2BD91223A4AA776

Batio said that he screwed up alot in this one but I thought mabye it would sound better with keys...and it does...but it still sucks.
I especially screwed up at like 15 seconds in, I gotta look that part over again that can't be right.

MRDuCran 10-11-2006 09:08 AM

Fukk, I thought you meant the interlude, oh well.

Maybe I should make a backing track without guitar for you...your friend didn't do you any favours in that tbh. Couldn't even hear you either.

Shadows Within 10-11-2006 09:10 AM

Really? sound was the only thing I had going for me...I could hear me fine...

Ok redo with the BT

EDIT: OHHH THAT PART, ill try, my harpsichord sounds ****ty through the comp but its worth a shot.

MRDuCran 10-11-2006 09:37 AM

Yeah, THAT part.

Here's the backing track for the actual solo that you just recorded.

Well here's a rough sketch i did the part at about 00:17 exactly how it said in your tab and it sounds wierd but with the guitar it probally sounds good.
