OK, so once ive sold my kits ill have £500 to spend on a new one. I was considering getting the Peace DNA and getting decent cymbals rather than a more expensive kit and getting crap cymbals like Solars.

What kit do you think I should get?

mfb 01-22-2006 06:41 AM

boo

CasB 01-22-2006 07:24 AM

DNA would be good (maple shells :D)
Swingstar or Stagestar?
The export is better than the Swingstar but for the price of an export you can get a Mapex M birch

Talos 01-22-2006 08:44 AM

Yeah I know but with an M Birch which is what I was going to get, I wouldnt have enough cash to buy decent cymbals. With a Swingstar I can buy good cymbals. For example B8s, Pro Sonix, etc.

That is really hot.

CasB 01-22-2006 09:12 AM

That is really not.

Undisco Kidd 01-22-2006 09:20 AM

I don't like the color, not to mention the horrible-ness of the set.

Talos 01-22-2006 09:24 AM

The Export has nice colours, like Polished Chrome

Id wouldnt have black and black hardware, I do like it but joey uses it

Drum Phil 01-22-2006 09:25 AM

Shame they're terrible sets for the price

Talos 01-22-2006 10:11 AM

OK so out of Tama and Pearl who have the best low end kits.

Tama - Stagestar, Swingstar
Pearl - Forum, Export

Ill ask again

saars 01-22-2006 10:16 AM

well, for one thing, the export i useless to buy:rolleyes:

Talos 01-22-2006 10:18 AM

What about Yamaha Stage Custom?

gimp fest 01-22-2006 10:20 AM

s.c are great kits

Talos 01-22-2006 10:22 AM

I think I could stretch to that but that would mean buying crap cymbals like solars or something

Talos 01-22-2006 10:25 AM

Id get Solars as I wouldnt be able to get anything else, and I wouldnt have a throne but a stool will do for the minute, no?

gimp fest 01-22-2006 10:27 AM

it will. you are far better off getting a decent kit with lower quality cymbals than getting getting a poor kit with ok cymbals. you can now get pro cymbals when you get some more money straight away instead of spending more money on mediocre cymbals

Talos 01-22-2006 10:28 AM

Sweet, are Solars really that bad as people say they are or?
