I didn't mind him until I payed attention to what he'd say.

So I was practicing what I learned on the cyberfret site, and my brother comies in my room. So he's like what are you doing, and I tell him. Then he tells me theres no use in doing soemthing if you don't know what you're doing, so then I tell him I do know what I'm doing...he asks me a question and I'm lost.

What are major tones, minor tones ect ? I only know semi and whole :(

You could be learning something and know what you're doing. Or, you could be learning something, and have no idea what you're doing. Thats what I meant.

You could be doing something, and not exacly know why you're doing what you have to do. As in not understanding what you're doing.
