FlyingPaul_83 08-10-2005 12:18 PM

no problem :)

IheartSP 08-10-2005 01:30 PM

Does everyone here have a Bodom shirt? If so, which one? I have the Hatebreeder shirt and the bleeding logo shirt.

Shadows 08-10-2005 01:33 PM

I have a Follow the Reaper shirt. I feel oh so metal when I wear it.

CaptainWaits 08-10-2005 01:52 PM

I downloaded that Britney Spears cover. Now I know it's supposed to be a joke, but it was just plain sh*tty IMO. They could've found something better to joke around with, that was brutal.

Dam you. I need to start getting shirts online

IheartSP 08-10-2005 02:04 PM

I love the britney spears cover, I thought it was hilarious, it seems you either love it or hate it

Follow The Reaper T-shirt....

Shattered_Future 08-10-2005 02:30 PM

No Bodom shirts.

Hells Bells 08-10-2005 02:59 PM

Not yet....the only place that I can find that sells stuff like that where I live doesn't have Bodom shirts.
im not a fan of DEP but if there as good as you say they shuld get rid of all the ****ty hardcore bands and put them in altohguh if you think about it id rather see COB than DEP....
Yeah, DEP has more talent than basically all the bands on the tour other than DT.

Shadows 08-10-2005 03:09 PM

I think people really overrate DEP's musical talent.

I think Jeff Loomis and Steve Smyth could pwn DEPs guitarists.

But meh, that's just me.

Eh, if anything i'd say DEP's guitarists are underrated.

I see them praised constantly around MX. But then again, I'm slightly biased against anyone who plays that style of music.

Shattered_Future 08-10-2005 03:30 PM

I try and I try and I try to get into DEP...

...and i still don't get it. It sounds like really mindless noise to me.

That's always been my view. DEP, Psyopus, Number 12 Looks Like You, etc. I could never get into any of those bands. Psyopus especially.

flamesofbodom 08-10-2005 03:33 PM

I like DEP, but i dont know why

AA-12 08-10-2005 03:38 PM

Meh, you won't like DEP if you don't like Jazz/Very Technical Metal.

Shattered_Future 08-10-2005 03:39 PM

The weird thing is, I like other technical metal (Meshuggah, plenty of prog bands), and jazz constantly surrounds me 24/7, and I find it awesome.

I don't know what it is about this band though...they. just. plain. SUCK.

Hmm, that's weird.

Shadows 08-10-2005 03:42 PM

Me too. I love technical metal but I couldn't get into those bands.

IheartSP 08-10-2005 03:42 PM

Who is DEP?

flamesofbodom 08-10-2005 03:43 PM

Dillinger Escape Plan. I have uploads if you want em

Shadows 08-10-2005 03:55 PM

If it's tech metal, I prefer bands like Necrophagist or Spawn of Possession.

Death Metal \m/ (><) \m/

IheartSP 08-10-2005 04:02 PM

I've heard of them, but it doesn't sound like my thing at all. I'm not into technical metal.

I love a lot of techincal metal groups, and my following genre of metal is Jazz. Guess I'm just like Shattered_Future.

Shadows 08-10-2005 04:35 PM
Yeaaa Necrophagist!!!
They kick ass. Them and Spawn of Possession are both way overdue for a new album.

I'm into jazz as well...is it the same for everyone here?

Alrighty then. :) If I have a theory question I'll just ask you guys first.
Alrighty then. :) If I have a theory question I'll just ask you guys first.
I'd say Eggo would be the best choice for theory questions. Go in the Guitar forum and post in the sticky called Theory/IMprov/Compositional thread or something like that.

IheartSP 08-10-2005 04:59 PM

Eggo is the jazz master and the theory master. I may or may not be able to help you, I am a novice compared to him.

AA-12 08-10-2005 05:01 PM

I talk to Amit every day basically, so if you have a question I can run it past him.

IheartSP 08-10-2005 05:02 PM

He used to be an aquatance of mine back when I was in the guitar forum. He'd always be there at all the yahoo jams but otherwise I never really talked to him.

Anyone ever realize this thread was started by someone who never posts here?
