we played light and the glass for the town show the other week, it went really well. We might be covering another coheed song for the next show, but we dont know which one yet.

burning star IV 06-20-2006 09:35 PM

Coheed and Cambria has to be my all time favorite band. Ever.

DJ Ducksauce 06-20-2006 09:40 PM

Yep, they're up at the top of my favorite bands. They need to hurry up with their next album.

The Sludge 06-20-2006 09:46 PM

Killer live concert, I swear. The epic 'Final Cut' solo with Claudio's teeth, a violin bow and everything. lawl.

DJ Ducksauce 06-20-2006 09:48 PM

I want to see them live so bad. Claudio looks so cool when he plays live. I hate all the live videos on youtube have the songs cut short.

Dude. He did the same thing when I seen them live. It was fucking legendary.

Mitch2oo6 06-20-2006 10:39 PM

I want to cover IKSOSE:3(the song, not the whole album) with the lads, but theyre being soft and wont do it.

DJ Ducksauce 06-20-2006 10:42 PM

That is one of the most fun songs to play along to.

Mitch2oo6 06-20-2006 11:00 PM

I agree. I played it three times on repeat :p ANd then i was told to get off the drums! :(
How rude.

DJ Ducksauce 06-20-2006 11:04 PM

Haha, I put a thing of me playing the guitar a long time ago when we were going to do the bands.

Mitch2oo6 06-20-2006 11:10 PM

Thatd be interesting to see, do you still know where it is?

Mr_Bounce 06-21-2006 05:37 AM

Haha, IKSOSE:3 IS fun to play along to :P

DJ Ducksauce 06-21-2006 06:02 AM
Thatd be interesting to see, do you still know where it is?
It was just a .mp3 of the guitar part for the Pop-Punk band in here. It never fell through though. I uploaded it on YSI forever ago and don't know if I still have it on my computer.

DepthsOfDreams555 06-21-2006 08:56 AM

Coheed's live show is awesome but I hate the lack of energy. When I saw them they just kind of stood on the stage and played there stuff, don't get me wrong it was incredible but I just wish they would've been more active on the stage.

Gnarmageddon 06-21-2006 10:19 AM

A lot of their stuff is pretty technical though, so they may not be able to move around very much without messing up.

DepthsOfDreams555 06-21-2006 10:20 AM

Oh I know I'm aware, but there was absolutely no movement they were almost like statues, if their arms weren't moving to play the instruments.

cobert 06-21-2006 01:17 PM

But honestly, with the way the new stuf sounds, did you expect them to have energy? They played 2 songs from SSTB last time i saw them, and those were the only 2 songs people were doing anything to.

DepthsOfDreams555 06-21-2006 01:33 PM

Whatever, I don't really care, it was a sweet concert.

Bad Blood 06-21-2006 03:07 PM

What's this iTunes exclusive EP?

Fish 06-21-2006 03:43 PM
I want to cover IKSOSE:3(the song, not the whole album) with the lads, but theyre being soft and wont do it.
me and my band do a cover of it, it took me a while to get the singning down on the verses with the guitar, but we can play the whole thing now

zach: I'll agree that travis stands pretty still for a guitarist, and the bass is pretty technical, but on some songs like Three Evils, everything evil or DIJC, claudio adds crazy fills or gets really into it.

Mitch2oo6 06-23-2006 06:30 PM

Jimmy Paige, chiller of the century. He doesnt even open his eyes when gee-tarring. Heh, hes a good lad. Bumping this thread cause it was on page two.

Storm In A Teacup 06-28-2006 07:36 PM

None of you are addicted to and love Coheed & Cambria as much as I do.

None.
Of.
You.

So I was listening to "Second Stage Turbine Blade" today and I was thinking, "I wonder how it would be beating off to the music". I'm gonna try it tonight. :D:p

DepthsOfDreams555 06-28-2006 07:37 PM

That's very very weird but let me know how it works out. Wow...but ya I think I used to love Coheed more than anyone but I don't anymore so ya you can keep that title.

cobert 06-28-2006 08:50 PM

Coheed and Cambria used to be my favorite band, but they fallen significantly since I dont like their last 2 albums anymore. Second Stage Turbine Blade is still on of my favorite album though.

Fish 06-28-2006 09:49 PM

yeah well I grew claudio hair, so I guess I win. <_< >_>

Scuba_Steve 06-29-2006 08:59 AM

my goal for the day: Listen to all three Coheed albums in order.

ahh yes, summer...the time of pointless goals.

Listening to Coheed & Cambria is not pointless.

/beat off to SSTB last night with images of Jessica Alba in head

Did you really do that? You're one troubled kid. :p

I've got a feeling 3 hours straight of c/c might be overkill though

DepthsOfDreams555 06-29-2006 09:11 AM

You could take breaks.

Storm In A Teacup 06-29-2006 10:22 AM
Did you really do that? You're one troubled kid. :p
Maybe.
I've got a feeling 3 hours straight of c/c might be overkill though
Try 24 hours straight and then come back and talk to me.

Fish 06-29-2006 11:12 AM

theres no way you have 24 hours of coheed music

I have all 3 CD's then there live DVD and live CD and their bonus dvd off of the re-issue of good apollo.

Storm In A Teacup 06-29-2006 11:15 AM

Repeat button.

There's also the EP's. Can't forget those, and Shabutie records.

Fish 06-29-2006 11:24 AM

yeah i have the shabutie records too but i dont count them as coheed <_<

Storm In A Teacup 06-29-2006 11:28 AM

Neither do I, but still...repeat button...over and over and over again. >_<

"Keeping The Blade" is the best introduction to an album ever.

Fish 06-29-2006 11:29 AM

yeah :p. It pwns the ring in return haha

Storm In A Teacup 06-29-2006 11:32 AM

"The Ring In Return" feels like it's from the PS1 videogame 'Legend of Legaia'. How I wish it and especially 'Legend of Dragoon' had other games than just the two. :upset:

Fish 06-29-2006 11:36 AM

the only game i ever had for ps1 was tony hawks 2. And thats where i discovered lagwagon but...

coheed > lagwagon

Storm In A Teacup 06-29-2006 11:40 AM

.../ignores last post

Hmm, even though everyone praises "Welcome Home" (I think it's awesome, don't misread what I say), but there are a lot of songs by Coheed that are much better.

Fish 06-29-2006 12:15 PM

yeah of course. But welcome home just stands out more as a song, with its angry lyrics and ending solo. There are much better songs like, IKSOSE, the crowing, al the killer, devil in jersey city, the list goes on :p but it's still a great song, there isn't really a song i dont like. Except Wake Up, i mean it's an okay song, but I usually skip it while I listen to the GA album.
