Western, now I am Mountain though heh...yes Eitri I did feel that, even though we don't have daylight savings where I live... :upset:

Eitri Is Berserk 10-31-2004 01:45 PM

Strange..I went to a costume party last night..I was so wiped out when I got home. It was pretty cool though, a live band is always fun to watch. They had a **** good lead guitarist. I talked toe the bassist a bit, I'm jealous of his rig. It was kinda strange talking to him cause he was in costume..and his costume was a school girl. It was awkward, but he was a cool dude. They played a lot of older stuff, and did a good job with it, except you couldn't hear the rythm guitarist over the bassist and lead guitar. He didn't play half of the time, just did vocals mostly.

I was just pleased to find I had an extra hour to do preparation for my Basic Readings class tomorrow. I've still yet to start, though.

Riva 10-31-2004 06:53 PM

We don't have Daylight savings here. One of the few places in the world, I must admit.

Permanent Solution 10-31-2004 06:54 PM

I don't have it here, and I'm in the US :p

Riva 10-31-2004 06:56 PM

It would be nice to have an extra hour to do stuff though. But it would be hell to change the clocks around all the time.

"Be that word our sign of parting, bird or fiend!" I shrieked, upstarting. "Get thee back into the tempest, and the night's Plutonian shore! Leave no black plume as a token of that lie thy soul hath spoken! Leave my loneliness unbroken; quit the bust above my door! Take thy beak from out my heart, and take thy form from off my door!"

Anyone who can finish that off gets five points.

Permanent Solution 10-31-2004 07:06 PM

Riva 10-31-2004 07:16 PM

/me needs to start reading more of the literature at uni.

Bartender 10-31-2004 07:21 PM

I'm reading Don Quixote at the moment. It's great. Got it for £1.50, new, in the cheap classics section of the Union bookstore. I can get quite a few classics for £1.50 from there, actually.

Kingofdudes 10-31-2004 07:23 PM

I have to do a Term Paper on Winesburg, Ohio. :( I really wish I could do one on 1984 or Animal Farm.

Permanent Solution 10-31-2004 07:23 PM

I read The Odyssey, The Aeneid, The Republic and Metamorphoses this year. The classics are great.

Riva 10-31-2004 07:23 PM

Prices in Aus are disgustingly high.

Some paperbacks are $20 bucks

 But Aussie dollars/=American Dollars

Riva 10-31-2004 07:25 PM

I love The Oddysey. A lot.

I know it isn't really a classic, but has anyone read "The Silmilarion" by Tolkien? The first part, with the world being created by a symphony of music, is really mindblowing.
 But Aussie dollars/=American Dollars
That's still about $13 dollars U.S.
