i needed a trem ASAP. obviously it wasnt the most desireable situation or set of ordeals, but its no biggie
Nipples 06-23-2006 03:15 PM
When i hear that i imagine a guy standing over you with a stop watch staring at you as you try to play
nah, they stay behind the counter though, they'll come tap you "enough"

its like: ****, how does anyone buy an amp from here?

+they are the only local mesa dealer

SirSpamalot 06-23-2006 03:16 PM

hey a guy in nepean is selling a framus

too bad I can't hope to afford it

this has made me very sad

finally someone's selling a decent amp used in ottawa and I can't afford it

overturned 06-23-2006 03:23 PM

Ugh, Big Brother, I seriously can't comprehend how anyone can watch that crap.

SirSpamalot 06-23-2006 03:23 PM

heh there's this place called Lauzon's in ottawa that doesn't sell anything I could hope to afford (their guitar stock consists primarily of high end PRSi and Gibsons and you walk in and they've got all these these Steinways (pianos) on the floor) but they're always really nice and they let me play for as long as I want in a soundproof room on any guitar/amp they have without bothering me or anything even though they know I'm not gonna buy anything. they also have a bunch of cool zvex pedals

Mild_child 06-23-2006 03:30 PM

Someone on MX mentioned something about a new Ibanez Korn signature guitar being unveiled within the month. Anyone have any info, links, pix?

Miek 06-23-2006 03:37 PM

It wasn't as good as I hoped, get the sound I wawnted, but it was pretty close, for you style of music, it would be amazing

overturned 06-23-2006 03:39 PM

<3 my Mesa at low volumes, all this "Valve dont sound as good at low volumes" lark is bollocks, swear down.

Miek 06-23-2006 03:39 PM

thank you britain

Mild_child 06-23-2006 03:41 PM

Roight...yeah I've been wanting some sort of lower wattage EL34 tube amp. I just neverreally knew Genzz Benzzz amps that well, and they don't seem to be a big company....

It depends, i think a white guy with the right build and dread style can pull it off but it more often than not doesn't work

worst ever = mike einzinger back in the day

Mild_child 06-23-2006 03:46 PM

I wanna see/hear more of your Laney though.

Asians look awesome with Dreads. Mainly the stoner ones.

Hey, I used to have dreads!

I agree, but korn wrecked whiteboy dreads for me.
steve's salesmen earn by commission, and are, as expected, arrogant pushy jerks if you're not going to buy something
A week or two ago I went to Steve's and played the LTD SC-607B they had. I was putting it back myself, stepping on a Mesa Single Rec combo to reach the hook, knocking it into a DV-8 and a George Lynch signature, some guy comes running up behind me and he's like "Dude, next time GET ONE OF US TO DO THAT" and I'm like yeah I'm gone later and boogied out of there

overturned 06-23-2006 03:50 PM

Hmm just got an email from a guy really interested in my cab, wanting to pick up this weekend. Things are looking up again, in a way. I'm still unsure whether to just stick with my original plan of a nice shiney new Tokai LP or have a shot at the BC-Rich.

Sad But True 06-23-2006 03:57 PM

Sup

Just bought Supermassive Blackhole dvd/single thing, and in the making of the video, the band are just sitting there trying to figure out the 10,000 Days cover.
