Warriors of the World United is their Classic tune.
Or maybe Brothers of Metal, try those two.

SactoUnited 08-11-2005 04:29 PM

I recommend people stop listening to Slipknot and all other ****ty nu metal bands.

Stoic 08-11-2005 04:35 PM

It'd be wise if you edited your post since it's against the rules and has nothing to do with this thread's purpose. :)

/no, I'm not a fanboy, I dont even listen to Slipknot :p

GenuineImitation 08-11-2005 05:33 PM

Can someone recommend me some power metal other than dragonforce, kalmah and children of bodom.

Broken Angels 08-11-2005 05:42 PM

Try Dream Evil and Manowar :)

GenuineImitation 08-11-2005 05:43 PM

Thanks for the help.

Zion Gates 08-12-2005 11:13 AM
Can someone recommend me some power metal other than dragonforce, kalmah and children of bodom.
They aren't neccesarily power metal but they are powerish. The band I speak of is Nevermore.

Broken Angels 08-12-2005 12:26 PM

From what I've heard you should try Tweaker. Admitedly all that I've heard by them is the Doom 3 theme, but it did sound very Tool-esque.

I like Nevermore. Thanks anyway.

Children of Bodom and Kalmah are kinda similar to Wintersun.

Daven 08-12-2005 02:07 PM

"Something Wicked This Way Comes"

Or maybe "Horror Show" or "Dark Saga"

Huber 08-13-2005 02:04 AM

There latest album The Glorious Burden is also a great album. Gettysburg is amazing.

Muellator 08-13-2005 02:09 AM

Something Wicked This Way Comes is my favourite, you probebly wont like the debut, most people dont due to the vocals, the second i dont mind, but you can get Days of Purgatory, with most of the songs from the first 2 albums redone vocally with Matt Barlow, and some of the guitar is re-recorded as well.

There most accessible album of thier's is probably "Something Wicked this Way Comes"

If you want a more thrashy aggressive form of the band check out "Night of the Stormrider" or "Burnt Offerings". If you want a simpler more emotion form of the band check out "Dark Saga" or "The Glorious Burden"

panthersfan16 08-13-2005 08:12 AM

Txus 08-13-2005 08:21 AM

If you're looking for Albums, Blackwater Park and My Arms, Your Hearse are good and listenable for people unfamiliar with the band.

Could you just recommend me some good metal. I already know the classics(Metallica, Iron Maiden, etc) and some bands like Children of Bodom but I would like to get deeper into things like that. Thanks.

ATM 08-13-2005 04:52 PM

Give Behemoth a try.
