I thought that was what the In-Depth thread was for. :(
Hmm, yea it's both lyrics and poetry. My idea has been flushed. I wish more people were active in the In-Depth thread though. My piece has been sitting there for ages.

slack 03-10-2006 12:32 AM

I'd comment, but it'd be mostly babble. :)

Socrates is back. Put the Jesus down.

I remember you.

i wish i could rock a pink sweater like kanye.
i'd just look like some dipshit whiteguy.

TojesDolan 03-10-2006 08:27 PM

Yeah pink doesn't suit the average white guy.

Nightvision 03-11-2006 04:32 PM

It's been adopted by chavs etc over here in the UK. It's quite amusing watching a skinhead with an IQ of approximately 6 wandering round threatening smaller people in a pink polo shirt.

I have a pink polo Aeropostale shirt.

Just thought that fact would come in handy.

FA 03-12-2006 03:01 AM

Pink's the new craze with the guys that wear Hollister clothing.

drumass04 03-12-2006 08:10 AM

I used to have a pink t-shirt (as in proper pink, bright and lurid) but I grew out of it :( Then pink came into fashiopn with all the chavs and I decided I wouldn't bother replacing it.

I do have several bright pink hair bands and stuff though. Always looks good in science lessons!!

Being ill really does suck. I haven't been able to come on here in about 3 days because I've been in bed. Though it does feel quite good when you get about 10 people phoning up because I hadn't been online!!

There was a big fight last night between the larger louts and the chav gangs in the town centre alst night and I swear the whole high street had just turned pink. There was not a single one of them without some sort of pink polo shirt or knitwear or something.

FA 03-12-2006 12:09 PM

Is everyone here from the UK? Or is chav an american thing I'm not aware of?

metaliq 03-12-2006 04:42 PM

Chav is slang for chafe.

The chavs usually have itchy inner thighs.

Sade 03-12-2006 05:03 PM

Yo.

Just because I'm dismal and bored, I'll suggest a listen.

http://www.myspace.com/runehome

My band. I do bass and voice. I just put up a new song, with lyrics that I posted on here. "Eviscerate."

Not really my kinda music, so it's hard to comment on it.

I can believe that.

Hey, new member here. Am I in the right place or am I about to get flamed?

Just wanted to 'Hello' to everyone. Hello.

Nightvision 03-13-2006 07:38 AM

You're in the right place. Good start.

You'd have only got flamed if you'd have made a thread about it. Also, just as a suggestion, have a look round the rules thread and read a few songs/critiques by the guys in this thread just so you can get an idea of what the place is all about - we're all pretty laid back if everyone stays sensible. Sadly, that doesn't always happen. :-\

FA 03-13-2006 09:44 AM

haha, rarely does it happen. Like jason said, read the rules, be considerate...etc.

Welcome to the S7L Forums.

metaliq 03-13-2006 11:37 AM

S7L forums!!!

Yeah. Welcome. Critique well and we will love you.

drumass04 03-13-2006 11:44 AM

Haha, indeed!!

Welcome to the forums! Hope to see some of your writing up on the board and a few crits from you as well.

SikotikBunana 03-13-2006 05:59 PM

Thank you all.

I have read all the rules and looked over a few posts. I'm trying to be extra careful after that albino-midget-porn-posting-in-a-Harry-Potter-community-thread incident.

I'm an awesome critic. My mom tells me that all the time.

My "****" is deeply influenced by Aria Giovanni and Briana Banks getting it on.

I'll post something right now and I hope you guys have the patience to go through it.

Good to be here.

And please, no nude pics of yourself in my PM.

SikotikBunana 03-13-2006 06:04 PM

Hey, the censor actually made it better. Lets throw a little bestiality in there.

The "****" didn't come out right.

I'll stop now and post something.

A_Perfect_Sonnet 03-13-2006 06:35 PM

Watch out for me though, I'm angry and probably senile.

Amanda Woodward rules. Discuss.

It's teen angst, isn't it?

Go on, admit it.

Haha!!!

Justin; two can play that game... http://timmyjp.deviantart.com

I have a question for you all...I want to show my mum the poem I wrote about my dad after he killed himself. Thing is I don't know how to do it, I can't exactly walk upto her and thrust it in her face and say read this like I do with most of my work can I?

Last time I showed her something I wrote about my dad (a piece of prose) she cried, I know she'll cry when she reads this piece. I don't really want to upset her all over again. Should I just keep it for a later date?

On a slightly happier note I'm moving house soon, back to a rather larger citadel :D I've been thinking about my bedroom, I don't really want all my posters on the walls again, they're all getting a bit old and tatty now. I've decided on doing some cool black and white photos and a couple of coulered as well.

I also want to incorporate some of my poetry into the room, preferably something that isn't permanent so no writing on the walls!! Any ideas?

Perhaps get a photo-frame sized piece of glass, and etch the words onto the back of it? (Just remember to write backwards!)

drumass04 03-14-2006 11:38 AM

That would look awesome, I could get some clear acrylic through school, and then use the laser cutter or router to engrave it. Would look kinda cool :)

Thanks!!

Haha, I've done my good deed for the day. :p

*flies off into sunset*

drumass04 03-14-2006 12:02 PM

Haha :p

I've still got mine to come...Does helping disabled people count?

*enters silly ramble for the sake of it*
I'm out tonight helping at D of E (Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme for those who don't know about it, visit www.theaward.org ) They run a Mixed Abilities course for mentally and physically disabled teenagers and young adults. It's not only a great experience for them but also a great experience for the leaders involved in helping them through it.

It can often be quite challenging, persuading someone with the mental capabilities of a 6 year old, and the physical capablities of a 3 year old, to light a camp stove and cook over flames can often be fairly daunting!! As I said I help at the centre with the MAs at Bronze and Silver level.

Very interesting experiences to be had!! Great fun though, and gives you a great feeling of satisfaction at the end as well!! (I'm only a leader because of my skills in the outdoors - an Ex-mountain rescue leader I used to walk with gave up trying to teach me the necessary skills because I knew everything he could throw at me. I could also keep up with him on a week long expedition :D)

Right I'm going now, before I totally lose the plot.

Talk later!!

Timmy P
