GOD! I love Metallica so much.
They are so great. I don't see why they are considered "Classic Rock" when they are harder than any other band out there. Dyer's Eve is so great. So are all the songs, I swear that I love all their songs. |
Did anyone see them on the Madly in Anger With the World tour? The pyro show for One was outstanding!
yes, i saw them live, the pyros on one, and the pyros on enter sandman where awesome, also junglessence. |
How were the solos?
Any improv?
I heard that Hammett does an improv everytime they FWTBT |
it will be very interresting to see if they are capable of one more quality release..... or maybe they'll just produce another piece of crap of St. Anger. Do you think robert trujulio got a say in the songwriting?
I bet you couldn't make anything close to saint anger. I dont see nothing wrong with saint anger except drum sounds and no solos. But then again, metallica isn't famous for having an insane and awesome drummer. Metallica was good for guitaring, and guitaring in saint anger was great. Especially the riffs. Man, james will be able to write awesome riffs when he's like 80 years old. Just bring back normal drums, solos, and Im fine with the next album.
I already have. Listen to "Unchained" by Van Halen.
Uh, listen to NIB by Black sabbath. :p |
I can reply to myself?
:thumb:
Yes, but you would also look like a moron. :thumb: |
I am just wondering if there are any Metallica fans, like me, who enjoy all of their albums including St. Anger?

Good luck finding some, you won't find many here. Everything post-Black Album just seems kind of lame to me. |

Everything post-Black Album just seems kind of lame to me.
I agree that their best work was up until the Black album. However, I don't see why to criticize them so much for trying something new, and rumour has it they are in the studio recording an album that will be just like thier golden era. |

I consider myself a huge Metallica fan, although, there are albums I don't like... Kill 'em All, Ride The Lightning, Master of Puppets - All masterpieces. ..And Justice For All, meh, not my cup of tea, I don't really like it all, there is one song, I think Blackened, I like, but rumour is, it wasn't written by Metallica.. Self-Titled, everything about this album, bar maybe The Unforgiven, is **** in my opinion. Load/ReLoad, more or less one album I believe, it's ****, except for maybe Devil's Dance and Until It Sleeps. St. Anger, is great, easily their best original album since Master of Puppets in my opinion. |

I dont understand why you guys dont like AJFA. Its incredible, One, Blackened, AJFA, Dyers Eve, To Live Is To Die. My favorite album ever. |

I didn't second that at all, I second'ed the bold statement. St. Anger was there most original album since MoP, and a great one. MoP was a major change, and so was St. Anger. |

I agree, ...And Justice for All was one of my favorites by them...Dyers Eve is probably my favorite Metallica song next to Fade to Black. |
AJFA is a fantastic album, some great songs on there. To Live Is To Die, arguably the best Metallica instrumental and the more thrashy, great drumming Dyers Eve. One was their first music video, still a great song, and Blackened, another great Metallica album opener. I like every song on it.

Oh, I misread it. Edit: Oh noes! What happened to Mr. Adler!? |
I agree, ...And Justice for All was one of my favorites by them...Dyers Eve is probably my favorite Metallica song next to Fade to Black.
AJFA probably would be my second favorite metallica album if it wasn't for the lack of bass. |
Who was it written by? Or who is it rumoured to be written by?
It was written, well parts were written by Jason before he joined Metallica, sure they finished it off, but it was Jason's song, or so I have heard. Edit:
AJFA is a fantastic album, some great songs on there. To Live Is To Die, arguably the best Metallica instrumental and the more thrashy, great drumming Dyers Eve. Hell, all their instrumentals are amazing, and while I dislike ..AJFA, I do have respect for To Live is To Die. |

Hell, all their instrumentals are amazing, and while I dislike ..AJFA, I do have respect for To Live is To Die.
i found Orion like my favorite metallica song, so orion is definetly better than the others instrumentals made by metallica, ktulu and to live is to die are too repetitive in my opininon. |
Notice I said arguably. I still favor Orion over To Live Is To Die.
|
I don't really get it either. I've been listening to ...AJFA constantly and it's an INCREDIBLE album!
St. Anger, is great, easily their best original album since Master of Puppets in my opinion
I say since the Black Album, only because it's heaviest. But I love the solos on Reload. And about instrumentals... Orion> COTK. To Live Is To Die isn't technically an instrumental, but it's just as good, if not better, than Orion (guitar-wise. the bass in orion is THE best.) |
any one else hate the way the verses are sung in fight fire with fire kinda off topic but i was juss wonderin...
|
Nah, I really like that song man.
|
Call of Ktulu and Orion are my favorites, i would probobly say CoK as my favorite. But to live is it die is still awesome.

Uh, jason was in metallica. I dont know how can you say it's not their work if one of the metallica's members wrote it. He might have wrote it before, but it's still his work and he used it in his band. |
