I've had those dreams, somewhat like lucid dreams, where it's like you're dreaming, but your body isn't. So, in reality, your body is somewhat doing what's happening in the dream.
It's like, if you jump in the dream, you jump in real life. However, you're jumping while laying down on a bed, so it feels really weird. :amaze: |
No, unless I'm mistaken, lucid dreaming is when you control what happens in the dream, like what you do in it.
|
On the topic of dreaming, has anyone else here experienced sleep paralysis? It's a really frightening condition where your mind is fully aware but your body refuses to function, and it occurs right after (before?) waking up.
|
That album is so solid and fresh everytime it's put on.
Didn't you need some Pig Destroyer stuff from me awhile back? I completely forgot.
Actually, I think it's you that gave me them first. So I have you to thank for showing me this incredible album :p I'm working ona review/interpretation thing of the album right now. I plan on adding it to Sputnik too. So I'll let you guys know when I get it done. I'm on the song Lost Cause right now in the review. |

It's called Night Terrors. When you're half asleep, and you're starting to dream, but half awake and try to move but can't. Yeah, I've had those a lot, it's the scariest thing I've ever been through. |

I have, usually right when my alarm goes off. It's pretty bad, but it only lasts a quick second. |
I get them whenever I don't have a few beers before I call it a night. When I'm sober, I concentrate a lot more to get myself to sleep, and find myself half awake when I try to sleep, then start dreaming half awake, and my body freezes. I usually then see frightening images until I snap out of it 10 minutes later. It's scary.

Same here. Ever have to scream for whatever reason, and your voice is gone or no sound comes out? Frightens me right outta the dream. |

Yes! I'll get up sometimes in the middle of the night and see something moving closer to my bed, and I'm totally freaked out but I can't move at all. It's like the dreaming state and the conscious state are mixed together or something. |
Are you guys talking about when you, for instance, are fighting somebody and it feels like you have a tenth of your stength as if you are fighting in water or something, kind of the same thing with running too, you are running away and its as if you are in water but still end up ahead of the guy chasing you, thats kind of scary

I once saw the galaxy when I woke up. It was wicked.

Until you started to wonder who stole your tent No Isis or QOTSA quest apperances on the album then. Least that rumour got quashed quicker than the others |

It's called sleep paralysis, and its when you become concious while your body is still alseep. Your brain and body are disconnected. I used to get them really bad all the time, until I figured out if I just concentrate and force my hand or foot to move i could come out of it, after a while I just stopped getting it. In fact, it helped alot knowing what it was and that it wasn't an alien abduction cuz I used to get that sense of a presence in the room pretty bad, which is a major symptom. |
****, you guys are scaring me, I'm definitely going to be experiencing "night terrors" or "sleep paralysis" or whatever you want to call it tonight :(

I finally got Lateralus back from not listening to it for months upon months and it sounds sooo good.

It's been near a year that I started my Tool fast... wow..
It hasn't been 100% though, theres been the song here and there. |
Damn, I remember that like it was yesterday.
Time really does go faster as you get older. |
Hi Tool fans. I'm new here. I reckon this is the Tool place. You'll be seeing me around here often.
My friends say girls shouldn't listen to Tool. It's too manly. Fuk that. Tool are amazing and so deap. i really like that kind of stuff. |
No, some day YOU'LL learn that sex is the only thing that matters, when all of sudden your wife turns into an old hag. Something tells me you won't "love" her as much when she's dry pvssy.
edit: excuse this 'licentious' post hahaha
I've banged ugly chicks before, it's not that much different than banging a hot chick. |
I wish I could join in on the lucid dreaming talk, but despite efforts over the past month, I have not yet been able to induce lucidity.
 |
No, I was in my bed, and I woke up, and I saw a concentration of stars out of the corner of my eye. It was probably some kind of optical illusion, but it was still amazing. |

Try this, lay down on the grass or somthing at night and focus on one single star for a really long time, it's hypnotic. |
Damn, I remember that like it was yesterday.

I've had some really freaky moments with what I guess is called "sleep paralysis." It always happens to me when I fall asleep listening to music. The first time it happened it took me half a day to get rid of that creepy feeling.
