should i pay $80 to see AFI at this small venue nearby my town where they got their start at? The tickets started at 25 and now there are just scalpers haha I mean AFI is my favorite band probably for some of their cds mainly sing the sorrow. If they play all new stuff that'd suck, but i doubt they will.
I'd definitely go see AFI. band is tight. they might play This Secret Ninja or some other odd early dayze track.
got some mad American Football, Cap'n Jazz, City of Caterpillar and **** in the made from Vince

i guess i don't have to feel weird about posting in this thread anymore
That's some of my favorite **** ever. "Honestly" is definitely in my top 10 of favorite songs ever.

Jaundice 01-02-2010 11:32 PM

I'm really not sure about Cap'n Jazz

RetiredAt21 01-02-2010 11:37 PM

Why?

Jaundice 01-02-2010 11:42 PM

idk, there are good parts here and there but in general i'm not sure if i can get into it

cobert 01-02-2010 11:48 PM

All of those bands are great.

Jaundice 01-02-2010 11:48 PM

not as cool as Baroness
not as cool as Baroness
welp

Iluvatar 01-03-2010 02:20 AM

why people try to deny cap'n jazz being the coolest band of all time is beyond me

xMalcolmXx 01-03-2010 02:56 AM
not as cool as Baroness
both are great

Opportunist 01-03-2010 03:08 AM

How 'bout La Quiete?

La Fine Non č La Fine was some pretty sweet stuff.

Oh and The Plot to Blow Up the Eiffel Tower is worth checking out. I don't know if they'd fit into this list, though.

witchxrapist 01-03-2010 04:01 AM

Who gives a ****, any The Plot To Blow Up The Eiffel Tower discussion is necessary. They're by far one of the best punk bands ever.

Jaundice 01-03-2010 04:11 AM

i like every band that's compared to TPTBUTET and i have some of their albums

so even tho i've never listened to them i give them props

Opportunist 01-03-2010 04:23 AM

Gotta agree with you, witchxrapist. Dissertation, Honey is one of those albums that just doesn't seem to get old.

whiteminority 01-03-2010 06:13 AM

La Quiete is ****ing amazing. Theyre split with Louise Cyphre is one of the best screamo releases ever, but I feel that about basically any release with Louise Cyphre on it.

christsimpson 01-03-2010 07:41 AM
why people try to deny cap'n jazz being the coolest band of all time is beyond me
basically you can love them like any normal person would. or if you want to proclaim your pretentiousness you can go like "lol I lost the ēnd disc and I don't even care lol omg", and only listen to the first disc of the discography.

or if you're completely elitemo, you just call them the "BIGGST ****N FGGTZ EVR", and only listen to like... bands from Florida whom no one ever has heard of.

Opportunist 01-03-2010 08:12 AM

I have to check out some more Louise Cyphre. I've only heard the four songs they have on their split with La Quiete.

But hey, any of you guys heard of this band called Kolya? My friend gave me one of their 7"'s the other day and it's pretty impressive. They broke up a couple of years ago, though.

Gnarmageddon 01-03-2010 09:42 AM

i can see why people don't dig some of cap'n jazz's songs, tim's voice gets annoying after a little bit, even to me, and i love them to death.

kitsch 01-03-2010 11:14 AM

cap'n jazz is soooooo tight

It's just so ****ing good.

And La Quite talk: Tenpeun > La Fine

Raein is still my favorite Guido (screamo; The End Of Six Thousand Years is my favorite Guido band) band though.

And Cap'N Jazz talk: band is good, but not the best ever, Iluvatar is a large bundle of dicks.

Oh and I found my CTTS shirt. :D

@Gnarmageddon: Gantz, more like build ups.

I only listen to the first disc.

Unrelated: Creepshow is such a fun campy movie. I watched it late last night for the first time since I was like 13 and it's still awesome.
br00tal d00d
I like it more because of how ridiculous their guitarists, drummer, and vocalist all are. They're ****ing tight.

Plus they have sweet harmonies.

cobert 01-03-2010 04:02 PM

I put it on and it served as background music. At no point did I even realize anything was playing in my headphones.
