I need to change my guitar playing from righty to lefty so I can reach faster speeds. :-0

I'm left handed.

I play as if I were righty. I can play a bit faster both strumming (or shredding, blah blah) and tap notes with my right hand more precisely and faster as I should play, lefty than I do currently.

you should strive to be ambidextrous, so it shouldn't matter which way you would play.

If you want to switch sides so your strength is in your picking hand, then obviously you would be waiting for your fretting hand to build coordination, and would still be "slowed down" by your less dominate hand

Exactly that's what stops me. That and the fact that I'm too lazy to switch strings and stuff. :p

Nonetheless I know it'd take me like a good year, maybe two years to get a decent level at playing lefty, but who knows. Maybe I shouldn't try it.

just practice 5 finger picking and getting each hand coordinated. If you want to be good at tapping (tappping with more than 1 finger) its a good idea to try to raise the level of coordination in each hand.

im havin trouble sweepin, the notes bleed into each other too much for my likin. tips please?

you need to slow WAY down, and practice proper muting technique with your fretting hand.

Basically, after you pick the note and it sounds, you depress the fret, but leave the finger on the string to get it to stop ringin
