i try not to move my wrist - that's the only thing i can do.
ah right fair enough, how long you gotta wait til you can spiel guitar again
I think his tone was good. Maybe it sounds bad sometimes because he's concentrating on the vocals, not to mention the parts are hard.

The Chaos Ridden Years cd has leaked btw. It's really not that great tbh, even Roope sounds bada lot of the time.
fcking sweeet. im gonna go download it, but i will buy the dvd

EDIT: listening right now. right now im on sixpounder. I overall its pretty cool. The guitar tones sound like they have too much gain or something I donno, it doesnt sound as crisp as TW, o well. This is still pretty kewl, although I would have liked it if the bass drum was a little higher in the mix

Yeah there's something wrong with the tone, it's not as clear, like you said.

I play guitar everyday still, I was playing 16th notes at 180 again today and that was straight away, soon it'll be 220. :p

congrats... my fastest was (with metronome) 16th at 120bpm, without metronome about 150-160bpm.

MRDuCran 10-07-2006 05:43 PM

How can you tell if you're playing 160bpm if you don't have the metronome on?

repcak 10-07-2006 05:45 PM

i was playing Inferno faster than on the record but without a metronome ... i have (had?) always the problem to hear every "click", so sometimes i played it without one... therefore i know i am "able" to play that fast, but not able to play it controlled to a metronome.

Hmm, well I'd work on that. I can play stuff without a metronome better than I can with one too but I don't play like that much because I like to feel controlled.
He counted :smash:
Orly?

repcak 10-07-2006 05:59 PM

yeah, i know... it wasn't really controlled but it wasn't tremolo-picking too... it was only without a metronome... whatever... right now i can't play guitar anyway...

MRDuCran 10-07-2006 06:43 PM

Just find something else that's enjoyable and get into it and time will pass quicker. For me, it'd be computer games or bike riding but both of those involve the wrist alot so I'd be dead.

AA-12 10-07-2006 06:45 PM

What do you guys play that has constant finger moving riffs? I always get bored playing things because it's like the same chord over and over, etc.

Chokehold has alot of movement. I can probably only recommend Bodom cause it's the thing that I play if I'm not practising properly.

Or maybe some Decapitated, their riffs are pretty crazy.

Po0sH 10-07-2006 10:35 PM

Haha just got to downfall. that was awesome they were playing those hair metal riffs like motley crue and stuff.

MRDuCran 10-07-2006 10:44 PM

Downfall eh? I'll gives it a listen.

Hehe cool, I recognise two of those songs.

omfg Alexi butchered that solo. :upset:

repcak 10-08-2006 07:48 AM

... once again bad luck with a cob-video.... don't download CoB - knuckleduster! its not bodom :p

its something else :naughty:

MRDuCran 10-08-2006 12:30 PM

 That's your fault for not knowing that haven't made a video for that song. :p

repcak 10-08-2006 12:32 PM

or at least i thought it would be a live-video

MRDuCran 10-08-2006 12:40 PM

Oh right, understandable but I don't think there's a bootleg of that. :(

Check out my tab of Lake Bodom live at Tokyo Warhearts:

repcak 10-08-2006 01:43 PM

its nice :thumb:

MRDuCran 10-08-2006 03:04 PM

Yer. It's actually pretty tough trying to get right up to the 24th fret like that, especially on my rg which has the old style neck joint.

repcak 10-08-2006 04:10 PM

old style neck joint? so you don't have the best high frets access?

MRDuCran 10-08-2006 04:26 PM

Nah, I can hardly get to the low strings past the 15th fret.

http://www.jemsite.com/tech/img/neck_surfacecrack2.jpg

I have one of those joints.

repcak 10-08-2006 04:43 PM

ah ok... low strings... i hardly play on those...

MRDuCran 10-08-2006 05:45 PM

lol

Well it's the high strings too. As I said, it's hard to play that Lake Bodom lick up on the 24th fret because of the neck. My next guitar will either be a "stage" guitar that looks cool (RR/RV/SV) or another Ibanez with a better access neck.

AA-12 10-08-2006 05:47 PM

I may get an RR eventually too.

Forlorn Hope 10-08-2006 09:42 PM

I'm thinking about getting an RG7321, but I haven't played one yet. Has anyone else played one?

repcak 10-09-2006 04:42 AM

right now my favourites are the RR and the BC Rich Ironbird :D

repcak 10-09-2006 01:03 PM

my wrist is great today.

after it got better i moved my wrist more often and it got worse again, so i stopped moving it again... i haven't moved my wrist for the whole weekend and now i can angle my wrist in right angle and do the petrucci warm ups, without any pain :D
the bad think that cause i weared the bandage and the special lotion for so long my skin started to itch heavily... i have to stop wearing my bandage :(
but i hope its ok now... on friday i travel home for the weekend and i don't want to touch the guitar this week, but next week :)

MRDuCran 10-09-2006 02:00 PM
