Can you believe that people actually voted for the conservatives solely based on stupid things like Harper being anti-gay marriage?

Homophobes unite++!!

JonM 01-24-2006 08:10 PM

Isn't that just the way it goes. God, people are dumb.
I love this show, much better than people give it credit for. Now, let me consult my DVDs...

"Red Hot Catholic Love"
"The Return of the Fellowship of the Ring to the Two Towers"
"Scott Tenorman Must Die"
"Butters' Very Own Episode"
"Cartman Joins NAMBLA"
"Cherokee Hair Tampons"
"Two Guys Naked in a Hot Tub"
"The Red Badge of Gayness"

My selections span seasons 3 - 6.
I've seen that Two Towers one, man that was great. I'll be getting all of those sometime soon, so I'll post my thoughts in here.

"Lord of the Rings wasn't the only thing I hired. I also hired...a pr0no"

That line is so hilarious.

The last three days have been the worst of my life. My dad was taken ill with pneumonia on Monday (he had Huntington's disease which weakens the organs etc.) and died on his 53rd birthday yesterday (24th). My mum and my sister and I were there with him when he passed away.

I've been off work helping to arrange the funeral etc.

EDIT: man, my post is a downer

Kyle 01-25-2006 11:53 AM

The 'Shout Out Louds' have been announced as support act for The Strokes when I go to see them. Does anybody know if they are any good? Their band name makes me suspect that their not.

edit: whoa Interstate that's rough, you got my sympathies...not that it means shit.

Thanks mate.

I've heard of The Shout Out Louds but never heard any of their music. Try reading some reviews from somewhere, download some songs or something. You'll soon find out if they're worth seeing or not.

I just noticed the large amount of recommendation threads that have popped up over the last few days, I'll be scouring them for new stuff.

Awww....that sucks :( /e-hug

I have a feeling my great grand uncle doesn't have much time left. He turned 101 about a week ago.

I had a short day today, which resulted in all my classes being crammed into a short amount of time, which resulted in me getting confused and being late to classes.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. I'm here to provide the little bit of anonymous internet support I can offer.

Haha, thanks.

I've really turned this into a condolences page which was not what I wanted to do.

On other news I've just discovered Ted Leo & The Pharmacists (very late I know), along with some other stuff which is awesome. How I missed out for this long I will never know.

If you need a person with an evil heart to post something mean to break the flow of the page, I'd be willing to do so.

its not that hard really, but apparently SOME PEOPLE think its stupid

not that it matters since any time i post a thread in the Pit, 50% of the words and about 99% of the hilarity are going to be in the first post :(

Awesome.

Sorry to hear about your Dad Interstate. There seem to be a lot of family deaths in Alt & Indie this year :(

It's ridiculous. We go back to school for one bloody day and then we have a public holiday. Not that I'm complaining that I somewhat get a day off, but still, it's silly.

Zmev 01-25-2006 07:48 PM

Sorry Interstate, my dad died when I was 6 if that makes you feel better at all for any reason.

Speaking of the number 6, thats how many miles I walked today, but it was worth it.

I have a secret soft spot for Panic! at the Disco.

I love procrastination. and Billie Holiday.

Yeah, I know. There's a joke in my family that everyone in my mom's side of the family dies of boredom, because they live abnormally long lives.
and Billie Holiday.
Billie Holliday is cool.
