Wrong. It should be "...'til."

Because you're shortening "until" not "untill."
Oh, burn.

Dr. Jake Destructo 02-05-2006 09:50 PM

Christ, sorry for the derailment guys.

Pezzo_di_Merda 02-05-2006 10:36 PM

You can get info on pretty much anything about TOOL on one of their websites, no need asking anyone here, and quite frankly, I'd much rather go to TOOL's site then to an unofficial one, no offense to anyone

Spiritofmosa 02-06-2006 05:36 AM
Soon they're going to sell fake albums and we won't know when the real one will come out because there will be all these fake ones and they'll keep releasing them to make you think the real one is a fake too and then they'll sit in their lazy-boys and laugh till someone actually stumbles upon the real album and then Maynard will flip some people and then the Rapture will take place and all the Christians will disappear from the Earth which is kinda sad because they wouldn't have been able to hear the album but who cares cuz they're in heaven as far as they know right?
hahaha ****..
Wrong. It should be "...'til."

"Till" is a word. The apostrophe isn't needed. When people say till, it's not an abbreviation of until, it's its own word.

Oh, burn.

kurrpt 02-06-2006 03:18 PM

someone need to put a BIG reminder for me that states

Solvent_Abuse 02-06-2006 04:32 PM

Wow.. talking about 'til' ant 'till'

Anyway, first post here, expect to see me a lot more.

Just gotta say, Tool has really made a difference to me. I love Third Eye, The Grudge, Jimmy and Lateralus.

Have you guys ever discussed 'toolgasms'?

Well every one of those songs does it for me

See you around!

Futuro 02-06-2006 11:06 PM
Have you guys ever discussed 'toolgasms'?
Freak!

I think Tool should either switch to writing songs about dragons(Power metal lol)/and or Boy band pop songs for one album. I can just imagine "Bye Bye Bye" In 5/8 :p

Trintar_VIII 02-06-2006 11:20 PM

Toolgasms, eh? I call them Tool Moments, but I guess they both mean the same thing. Yeah, I get those on several of their songs. It's good stuff.

Moses 02-06-2006 11:24 PM
I can just imagine "Bye Bye Bye" In 5/8 :p
This made me laugh out loud and actually try it.

denboy 02-07-2006 04:56 AM

I've tried "toolgasms" but I'm not so arrogant or ignorant to believe that only Tool can cause them.. So I call them the correct term "eargasms"

I call it the "musical g-spot".

Spiritofmosa 02-07-2006 10:12 AM

the best toolgasm i had was when i was listeining to the grudge and my mind wad half awake , the chunky distorted riffs gave we the great feeling

Trintar_VIII 02-07-2006 11:34 AM

Yeah, they're quite nice. I've gotten such feelings during some Opeth stuff as well, though it originated with Tool.

Kage 02-07-2006 12:10 PM

I get eargasms from a lot of music, in fact, most of my favorite music.

clearvision 02-07-2006 12:27 PM

Waking up to the scream in ticks is probably the best experience i've had listening to tool. It ALWAYS happens it's quite amusing. SUUUUUCK

Maybe no quarter/push!t/third eye in the dark too...

ThePatient 02-07-2006 01:03 PM

Pushit in the dark is my favorite.

I actually cried during it once, but in my defense it was my 6th day in the hospital and I was starting to crack.

Esoteric_Creator 02-07-2006 03:57 PM

I first had my first Toolgasm (if you don't like me calling them this...sue me. lol.) during a depression I was going through. A cousin had burned this CD for me (I had never heard them beforehand) and I listened to Reflection...
...nearly wet myself after that..

Now I get a toolgasm everytime I'm learning something new and I have the Lateralus CD playing in my ears..

I get constant eargasms while listening to Pig Destroyer - Terrifyer.

Half an hour of musical bliss...
And it never gets old.

I know what you mean, although I have trouble getting any kind of blissful feeling from music that extreme. Softer stuff usually does it for me. ;)

Me too.
Usually heavy stuff is just awesome sounding. Or whatever you wanna call it :p

But that album is the most emotional album I have ever heard. And everything about it for me is just incredible. The riffs, the vocals, the insanely fast drum parts, and just all the intensity you hear in every song, just makes me get shivers. The lyrics are what really do it for me though, since I can relate extremely well to them.

The only album that comes close to this album emotional wise, in my opinion, is NIN - The Downward Spiral

Shadius 02-07-2006 08:57 PM

Eargasms... Oh dear.

Get laid, you freaks!

:p

Do you get eargasms or just goosebumps? I've never gotten what I consider an eargasm from grind. It's usually a melodic thing, or a certain way a singer pronounces a part, or something to that effect. However, I get an equally awesome (yet different) feeling from a really heavy, sinister part.

That band really unnerves me. I listened to Prowler in it's entirety one evening, and I swear I had trouble falling asleep because the lyrics to "Starbelly" just kept repeating in my head. A very disturbing concept, but I do agree that the lyrics are well-written.

Being obsessed with a band is by far greater than getting some.

Moses below: You're such a sap. But I love you.

Agreed 100%.

Didn't we have a similar discussion about this a long time ago?

Moses 02-07-2006 10:41 PM

I think it depends on whether you're in love with the girl or not. Sex without love is such a petty and forgettable act.

Mr_Bounce 02-08-2006 02:15 PM

Hehe, eargasms...

About Tool, they're pretty much just f***ing amazing in all ways.

"Rumors continue to fly around about album release dates, and now rumors are out about the title of the new album. A Seattle radio station this morning announced the title would be "Elephtheria", to which Maynard's response was "nice try." Even more amusing were the song titles they announced (these bogus names are here only so you can laugh and ask yourself if these sound more like Tool titles or Limp Bizkit titles) -- "Greed Lies", "Psychiatrical", "Karma", and "Feminist Souls." Yikes."

That album title had been in the rumor mill for quite some time now...especially over at the toolnavy boards. It can finally be scratched out.

denboy 02-08-2006 04:36 PM

Christ, these fake album titles are some of the dumbest I've ever seen
