heh, I don't have anthing against rap, but rap and metal mixes are famously bad
Ah, I misread your statement then. I really dislike metal and rap mixes as well. I just thought that you were saying Linkin Park suck because they collaborated with a rapper. /puts down chainsaw |
The only metal-rap record I can stand is M.O.D's Bigger Than The Devil. :|
Coming from the guy who thought Paranoid was Sabbath's best album and thought Sin City sucks
I still think paranoid is sabbath's best album. However i have not seen sin city, and so couldn't comment on it. |
Does anyone know were i can order metal albums online.

Have you heard their s/t album? |
Have you heard their s/t album?
yeah, this is the best sabbath followed by master of reality (not that Paranoid isnt good). Oh and am I the only one who likes Dio Sabbath era? |
I still think paranoid is sabbath's best album. However i have not seen sin city, and so couldn't comment on it.
Its definatley their most over-rated album. Stoic - You're a wise man :thumb: |
Paranoid, Iron Man and Electric Funeral are brilliant. The rest are just alright I guess (no I dont like War Pigs!)
|

I actually hate the song Paranoid. I can't stand it anymore due to over playing in my first band...Dio does a good job singing it on Live Evil though. |

I expect it to be substantially difficult to nominate this time around, even though Bobo, Cain, Lunch, Moses, and plenty of others have threadstarted well or have otherwise been positive contributors this month. |

I don't think I am going to get very far in this one :upset: |

Well, I cited and linked to numerous examples, so basically, those are nominees right there, heh. I expect NRMOTM to be a bit more difficult, however. |
Have you heard their s/t album?
I have, NIB rocks, but i wasn't a fan of much of the other stuff. Iron Man, War Pigs, Planet Caravan and Electric funeral make paranoid a great album for me. However i have only heard paranoid and s/t, jake says i need to check out Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, which i will do in due time. EDIT : Jom, get an avatar please :) |
I expect NRMOTM to be a bit more difficult, however
heh, indeed. Any ideas? I cant think of any newbie
paranoid is not bad, but people overplay it, on guitars and radio which just gets you thinking : whats the big deal ?
you have a point here. Personally, I havent heard this song for ages so I suppose this is why it still holds its legendary status for me :p |

We had a cool one in the tool thread, somethign about escosteric mind, but there is noway i have got that correct from memory lol. |
I still think paranoid is sabbath's best album. However i have not seen sin city, and so couldn't comment on it.
I'd say Master of Reality is the best Ozzy-era, and Heaven and Hell is the best Dio, or for that matter, non Ozzy-era.
The only metal-rap record I can stand is M.O.D's Bigger Than The Devil. :|
You mean S.O.D.? |

haha, I remember a guy in the Death heads with a pretty good taste but one day he posted a link to a rap song and never appeared again (we didnt flame him though). :p |
Was that the Black Sheep song? If it is I remember that.

You mean S.O.D.?
No, M.O.D. was also a band...it was their singer's project when S.O.D. disbanded. |
Alex- I got a little carried away with the uploading and it really is a FA now, too big for your thread's uploads section, I could link it to the thread I would make in yours,is that OK?
I am sorry but it would be too long for just uploads |
That's cool. If I can get my modem working, I have a couple uploads to tide people over until then.
|

thanks, it's now a huge FA, and will be linked to in your thread with plenty of uploads  |

Like I said in the Report problems/Ask Questions thread I'm interested in making a FA too but Med is on holidays. If you contact Riva please let me know what he said, alright? EDIT so, you're not contacting RIVA :p |
Hello everyone. I have tried to be on self-imposed exile from the internet (except e-mail and ESPN.com) but obviously I've failed.
Right now it's 104 degrees in Chicago. I'm gonna repeat that: it's 104 degrees in Chicago. Absolutely mind-blowing...I don't think I've ever been anywhere this hot. Thank god for central air. The Red Sox are in town playing the White Sox, and we (me, my aunt and uncle, four cousins, and their friends) all went to the game on Thursday, a very satisfying 6-5 Red Sox win on a 9th inning Manny Ramirez homer (one pitch after he hit a foul popup that Joe Crede dropped). Right now the White Sox are beating the Sox 5-2 and I have to deal with the worst broadcasting team in baseball (Ken "Hawk" Harrelson and Darren "DJ" Jackson for the White Sox) rip on the freaking defending champs, saying "I definitely wouldn't mind matching up against the Red Sox in the playoffs, we're just a better team", then listed a bunch of facets where the ChiSox are supposedly better than the BoSox, including "situational hitting". Um...hello? The four guys who delivered the biggest hits for the BoSox last postseason (Papi, Manny, Damon, and Trot) are all still on the team! Who would you rather have up in the 9th in a must-win situation: Paul Konerko or David Ortiz? Unbelievable. What a bunch of tards. But I'm having a good time. There's actually something kind of innocent about the city, even if just a week ago one of my cousins was talking about how one of her friends got mugged while walking a girl home. And everyone here (my family and most of the people here in general) seem perpetually happy. Kind of odd. |

I was in Riverside [hick capital of the west coast], and it literally felt like I was being baked in an oven. Are you in the South Side or what? Whatever part of Chicago you're in, have a blast, man. Chicago is one of the best cities in America, and you're with family. Don't waste you're time there posting on MX. |
