It's kind of weak to be honest, but I still listen to it every now and then. Maybe his next will be better. Badgerlore, Dungen, Lau Nau, Nikhil Banerjee. |

It's kind of weak to be honest, but I still listen to it every now and then. Maybe his next will be better.
There are about three awesome songs (Return to Byzantium, Fire in my Head and Sand and Flames) but yeah, I could probably leave the rest. Welsh folk I've hunted down: Meic Stevens - Sack Cloth and Ashes The Pooh Sticks - Multiple Orgasm Datblygu - a buncha random tracks I found on the internets Meic Stevens is pretty neat. 60s folk rock, "Y Brawd Houdini" is sweet. The Pooh Sticks are totally up my alley, sloppy late 80s/early 90s indie pop that's not unlike Beat Happening, Television Personalities, Pastels, so on so forth. They have a song called "I Know Someone Who Knows Someone Who Knows Alan McGee Quite Well," which is a fine title for a song by a band of their type. Datblygu is a post-punk band from what I can make out. All these tracks are pisspoor quality, but there's some good stuff here. A bit like The Fall sometimes, I'm gonna buy an album from Amazon just to get a better impression. Some of the song clips on there sound pretty good. |
heh, pooh sticks, I remember playin that. Winnie the Pooh ruled.

Yeah that EP is all I've heard. I thought it was pretty good. I'd never even heard of them before they were announced on the BDO lineup so I thought I'd give 'em a shot. But yeah, not bad at all. The Clash - The Clash It took me waaaaaaaay too long to listen to a Clash album other than London Calling. |
