finally saw frightened rabbit live at a festival over the weekend, they were great. and yeasayer put on a bloody good live show, they were heaps fun
lcd sound system were boring as **** though, i expected greatness but was really bored. other people thought they were great though

poopie 08-04-2010 12:23 PM

this jandek record came in the mail today

now i just wish i had my money back

i feel like i played a joke on myself

QED 08-04-2010 01:41 PM

you can probably sell it to someone as dumb as you for profit

poopie 08-05-2010 11:30 AM

strongly considering this option. having a jandek album isn't as fun as I thought it'd be

today though sunn - oracle came and this is WAY more interesting, and like its sunn, so

not kidding though this surpassed my expectations for variety and amount of good music

vocals just came in on second side....this is ****ing sick, as good as anything of theirs

sweet salt sculptures too that I guess were done as a performance in tandem with this. Nice.

i saw them almost a year ago, they still got it but don't expect stage presence

GorgeousGabe 09-12-2010 06:28 PM

I got sneaked into a private party where Black Rebel Motorcycle Club were playing at a club in NYC where my band has played a million shows. it was a miracle moment. I was at a bar around the corner and stopped by the club just to say goodbye cuz I'm moving out of the city next week, and what do I hear but Black Rebel rocking the place inside out, two minutes later I'm inside catching the last 35 minutes of their set.

Goodbye NYC! Goodbye Don Hill's! Hi No Community Thread!

i saw them at a festival about a month ago that they headlined in Aus, they were pretty boring. we only stayed for about 2 songs then bailed. apparently in one of their big singles (dont know which one) the guitarist forgot half the song and stuffed it up big time

they opened with cecilia ann, and hearing it live it sounded ridiculously close to knights of cydonia

SgtBaker 09-14-2010 08:19 PM

right on.

you were right, not much stage presence, but they sounded solid. fuck buttons were sick though

robertsona 09-14-2010 09:34 PM

fuck buttons are cool live

sweboy 09-19-2010 04:54 AM

Red Sparowes live y/n?

pixiesfanyo 09-19-2010 09:16 AM
