the bands you listed arent really metalcore-y. jffb have like psuedo breakdowns but i mean its more they are just influenced by hardcore the same way a metalcore band is influenced by hardcore as opposed to them being influenced by metalcore.

Metalcore isn't all bad, there are some really great bands.

but the thing is, the shitty generic bands vastly outweigh the good bands. so some people just hear the generic stuff and say "metalcore is horrible".

I'm pretty sure the bad outweighs the good in any genre.
