We are setting our stuff up for this coming summer....kinda living for the moment. we are going into the stufio in January I think he was going out to tear up the town with his Gal.
I went saturday too.
Have you learned any new Tallica stuff?
funny you asked that, i just sat down the other day and learned no leaf clover and the rest of tuesday's gone w/ the solos |
Was No leaf clover easy?
|
lol yeah, really easy. its a beautiful song though.
one of my fav metallica songs to play is sanitarium...and mop and quick stuff like whiplash, motorbreath, metal militia, and stuff |
I know mostly the early stuff. I need to learn some of the 90's stuff
|
i like playing the 90s stuff, but yeah probably the earlier stuff better. and i pretty much know every single song on the drums i believe
|
Umm Lars?
LoL JK I'm gonna start playing drums more often |
haha...metallica stuff is really fun to play on the drums though. yes, incredibly easy, that is why i know pretty much every song haha. my fav to play is probably blackened or something fast
|
Even Dyer's Eve?
|
They are supposed to be playing tonight(yesterday 13th) with the Stones in Cali, anybody heard anything??
They are supposed to play Tues night also... |
Would be nice if the broadcasted that concert live for free online. :)
From metallica.com SUNDAY'S SETLIST 11/13/2005 [ back ] It's 8pm, and Metallica just left the stage. Usually they are not even on stage at 8pm, but tonight is a special night. Here is the setlist, in depth review and photos to come. Orion Master Of Puppets No Leaf Clover King Nothing Fade To Black I Disappear Turn The Page Sad But True One Nothing Else Matters Enter Sandman |
Even Dyer's Eve?
yes, dyer's eve. although sometimes if i have been playing for a while my feet get confused when the double bass goes really fast and i screw it up, but its ok cuz i just do it half the speed, and it works out nicely. i'm pretty awesome with my double bass now, had it for a long while. dyer's eve isn't that bad, i shun lars. haha |
Are drummers able to like play 3 different rhythms? Like with right foot, have a bass drum loop 1-3-6, and with one hand snare drum 2-3-6-7, and with left hand cymbal like 1-6-8. You know like play 3 different patterns with each body part? What I mean is are those what average drummers should know? And this is all really just a curiousity question and Im bored and was wondering about that at this second. :)

Well, Thanks PepsiMetal!!
|
does anyone have any info on metallica's new album
|
i recently read a magazine article that listred the 100 greatest rock guitarists, and they actually had james instead of kirk. i know he plays several solos in the studio and is regarded by many as the ultimate rhythm guitarist, but ive also been told when he plays solos live he really struggles and looks uncomfortable. so how good is he...?
|
I don't really know how good James is at solos. I can however say for sure that I have not seen many rythem guitarists better than James, his guitarparts create Metallica's sound, he has to be the most important member of Metallica for me. For this reason I would have him ahead of Kirk in a poll....plus I don't really like many of Kirk's solos

They had to cater that setlist to the audience the Rolling Stones draw though, so it wouldn't be very heavy.

About Dyers Eve, my bro was one of the lucky ppl to have seen Dyers Eve live. Its been played like only 9 times live since like the early 90's. I love to see Orion played live...one of my favorites Metallica songs. |
yeah i wish lars was good so they could play it live more. he's a good rhythmical drummer but when it comes to pizazz it just ain't there.
and pepsimetal, what you said up there about the three beats, i think i know what you're talking about and probably most average drummers who have a strong sense of timing and theory can do that. its not too hard, you just can't think logically - you have to split up your mind while you split up your rythms, kind of. |
Are drummers able to like play 3 different rhythms? Like with right foot, have a bass drum loop 1-3-6, and with one hand snare drum 2-3-6-7, and with left hand cymbal like 1-6-8.
