Brew 01-16-2006 10:23 AM

Its going to cost me £195 if I decide I can afford to go to Wacken this year.

Does anyone know if its possible to start claiming the EMA half-way through the school year?

Jev 01-16-2006 10:24 AM

I've not even considered GCSE revision yet.

Lord Abortion 01-16-2006 10:29 AM

Yeah you can.

I think also if you start claiming now then you might get it for the rest of year gone, so you'll get a couple hundred. IM not entierly sure.

Brew 01-16-2006 10:54 AM

Sweet.

ChodaBoy 01-16-2006 11:06 AM

You dont get it for the past half year, we were asking that today.

Brew 01-16-2006 11:12 AM

I'll only be claiming from the end of March 'til the end of the current school year, if its possible to do so?

ChodaBoy 01-16-2006 11:13 AM

It should be, I think the latest time you can apply is around the end of April/May.

Jev 01-16-2006 11:19 AM

I wish I had an EMA

Lord Abortion 01-16-2006 12:19 PM

Yup, my mate skipped a key skills lesson today = he will lose his EMA for this week.

Jev 01-16-2006 12:44 PM
Not nessaceraly. You can fill out an absence form, and you'll still get it :)
If its an unexplianed abence or you wagg it, then you don't get it.

If you ill, or something, then you have to phone in, or take a note or something.

As if you need extra money.

You work 9-5, except Sundays at a desk job for the head office of HSBC. It's a tough job, your wife doesn't approve of it, but that's not her problem.

Brew 01-16-2006 03:01 PM

Look, its my laptop + printer/scanner/photo-copier, speakers, ex-hard-drive, broadband modem, photocopies of a cd cover, mouse and hot choc mug.
