Tapey's band are supporting Calvin ****ing Johnson!
Hey, that's pretty darn cool. I downloaded that song he posted here, that was pretty nice. Nice, nice, nice.

I drove 400 miles to Coachella two years ago. I don't like the Smashing Pumpkins enough to do it again. And you know, that shit's expensive.

Zmev 01-19-2006 07:45 PM

I agree with that.

edit: to bc, and to some extent, rc

Electrocution 01-19-2006 08:13 PM

How could somebody lose a watch? Realistic, please.

I have a badge to get into a huge music merchant convention this weekend. There's all sort of special events and shizz, too. I might get to see Brian Wilson perform tommorow night. :)

Happymeal 01-19-2006 09:55 PM

I... have exams next week.

Glitterati 01-19-2006 10:03 PM

I officially envy you. I love The Beach Boys.

JonM 01-19-2006 10:06 PM

Listening to music is so much nicer than thinking about anything.

It's too bad we have to think about things sometimes. I'd just as soon not, but some asshole part of my brain won't let me.

Know what I mean?

BillCosby 01-19-2006 10:07 PM
I... have exams next week.
You're not going to actually study for them, are you?

Square.

br3ad_man 01-19-2006 10:11 PM

I start year 12 next week. Argh.

Ignorance is bliss.

JonM 01-19-2006 10:27 PM

Yeah, but my nature does not allow ignorance, so I never really get it.

You may need to be careful because things like this can portray yourself as a pompous 15 year old. Too 'mature' for such a thing as 'ignorance'. A trait all of us inevitably possess in some form or another.
You may need to be careful because things like this can portray yourself as a pompous 15 year old. Too 'mature' for such a thing as 'ignorance'. What I meant by "I never really get it" was the bliss, not the ignorance.

pinkyeti 01-20-2006 10:04 AM

To bring up a somewhat lighter topic, can anybody tell me which song this is?
I'm talking about a ca. 1970 motown single with some guy singing "preach for me" and a female choir repeating the line. It's very stomping. I can't remember any more significant details, can you help me?

Sorry Jon, I can't remember why I felt the need to say that. It was out of line though. My apologies.

JonM 01-20-2006 12:10 PM
Sorry Jon, I can't remember why I felt the need to say that. It was out of line though. My apologies.
Not a problem. It was a weird thing for me to talk about around here, anyway, and the way in which I talked about it was even weirder. It was just a weird day.

br3ad_man 01-20-2006 05:10 PM

It's been raining here. This sucks. BDO is going to be all muddy.

Happymeal 01-20-2006 05:34 PM

Get some chicks to roll(preferably wrestle) on the ground. Now we're talking.

br3ad_man 01-20-2006 05:40 PM

That's dirty.

The NPC 01-20-2006 05:46 PM

Crap, this thing is still open?

I Was A Kaleidoscope 01-20-2006 05:46 PM

It's like 42 degrees celsius [or at least that was the forecast, it could end up being more, like other days]. It's officially a heatwave now.

YDload 01-20-2006 05:57 PM

its like 42 degrees Fahrenheit here. a heatwave compared to normal winter temperatures!

br3ad_man 01-20-2006 06:01 PM

Here, it's one of those days where you don't really notice whether it's hot or cold.

The NPC 01-20-2006 06:07 PM

It's always toasty here.

pixiesfanyo 01-20-2006 06:31 PM

Here, it's just one of those days when you just don't wanna wake up.

Daniel! 01-20-2006 07:29 PM

World/Inferno Friendship Sociecty is coming nearby me, but the show is 18+. Dangit.
