what was the riot about?

Best thing I saw all night was on CTV News. All those large bundle of stickss in the 'black bloc' were changing into plain clothes to blend in with everyone else and CTVs newscaster caught them on camera, then walked up to them and interrupted them while they tried to change just to get their faces on the national news.

They don't understand how the world works, sadly. But that happens when you're a jobless hippie dropout. They're protesting in part because of how expensive it was to build the fences to secure the summit, but smashing windows doesn't exactly do anything but justify that cost. Plus they destroyed at least 6 cop-cars, among other things, which are paid for by taxes. Morons.
