What's your favorite song off St. Anger?
Mine is either Dirty Window or Unnamed Feeling. I hated DW at first, but after watching the rehearsal DVD thing, I've started to love it |
Havent listened in a while but i remember when Rob was dancin' to Invisible Kid which made me like that song more
|
I've always liked dirty window
|
St. Anger Favorite:The Unnamed Feeling, sounds different somehow.
|
Dirty Window and Frantic.

they're new albums are not as good as old THEY ARE ALL SELL OUTS
How can they all be sellouts if Rob was never even in the band before? St Anger is still good, give them a chance. They would be sellouts if they went back to what they used to do, just because the fans want them to. |
Strange how you guys are saying Dirty Window. That's one of the songs that annoys the crap out of me. The only song I like on St. Anger is the Unnamed Feeling.
|
You there.
What songs are you covering? I'd love to do vocals for a "softer" song like Fade or Unforgiven, even if I am a pretty bad singer (I've been told I have a good natural singing voice for stuff like Fade, but when I try to sing high for something like Puppets or Creeping Death it sounds like crap) |
Does anybody know what amps metallica used in their 80's stuff, I you do can you e-mail me at Killhumanrace@hotmail.com

Yep. The opening riff in I am Ahab is incredible. |
Yep.
The opening riff in I am Ahab is incredible.
Best riff ever invented(maybe not but still) The intro riff to blood nd thunder is also great. but, uhh back to metallica, I'll post some recordings when i Buy a micrphone, mind you they will suck, so flame away when I post them. |

I think they used Mesa/Boogies as well. |
I think they used Mesa/Boogies as well.
Yeah but I think They started using Mesaboogie amps after the 80s, and the guy asked for what amps they used in the 80s, I'm fairly sure they didn't start using mesaboogie until black album and on. Again this might be wrong, I'm not certain. By the way, welcome to the forums :) |

About the amps though, I know that most of the time when Hetfield is interviewed by a guitar mag or something, he turns all of his knobs to zero and basically covers up what all his settings are. Hammett supposedly is open with that info though. |
They didn't start using Mesa's until they got famous and could afford them :D
|
hu els wont dave back.
