mornin' people. who got chased through the jungle by some green monster in their dream last night?

:p
So I worked Journey Friday night and couldnt get over how ridiculously solid their new singer is. I mean he's this young Filipino dude but he sounded identical to Steve Perry. Now I'm watching stuff on youtube and he also does a spot on impression of, well, pretty much everyone. Scott Weiland, Steven Tyler, Kurt Cobain, Bon Jovi, Jim Morrison. It's pretty absurd.
Yeah, I saw them with my family and he was really ****ing good.

Haven't heard his other 'impressions' though
mornin' people. who got chased through the jungle by some green monster in their dream last night?
I had a dream that I lived in this creepy old house that was kind of like a hotel and my dog ran away and turned into a beagle, then this old woman came wanting to buy my house and I showed her this portal with an elephant skull in it.

That's all I remember.
Well I put MMA in quotes because that's not what I actually did, it wasn't big when I started. But my school, though rooted in TKD, had a variety of instructor specialists who would rotate schools about every 3 months and they specialized in things such as knives, bo staff, pankration, jiu jitsu, karate, and capoeira. Also as part of the general curriculum we learn nunchuku, escrima, kenpo, bo staff, muay thai, karate, etc.

Some of our curriculum has instructional videos on youtube:

ah, I see what you mean. When I hear MMA I always think muay thai + bjj right off the bat.

How'd you like Pankration? I've sparred a bunch of times Pancrase style and it's really fun but shitty when you don't think properly when defending.

pretty kickass.

Shattered_Future 09-08-2008 08:54 AM
 yeah I've seen that band before, they're AWFUL. Yes, the bassist is hawt, she used to be blonde and frankly, I'd like to **** her hard... especially since she was wearing that Faceless shirt.

Unexpect was awesome, I was right in front inches away from the vocalist and sometimes violinist. When Leïlindel would headbang, her hair got in my face a lot lol

Sigh was good, all of the pervs were taking pics of the chick sax player which was funny, she was pretty hot though and she's bi so that's.. yeah.

I'm just glad they played Me-Devil and finished with Inked in Blood.
Good show? I'm going in a week. :D

Plus, it's on a day where I don't have classes, so I can go early and get front row for Unexpect again. That was ****in' sweet.
pretty kickass.
you do dream analysis right? (if I remember correctly)

I remembered more specifically that I was in a parked car just sitting there when my brother called me and said our dog ran away, but then I opened up the door and my dog was sitting right there except he was a beagle instead of a poodle (but I still knew it was him...) and I picked him up and petted him

wtf does this dream mean

AA-12 09-08-2008 09:11 AM

lol bi girls

botb 09-08-2008 10:54 AM

botb 09-08-2008 11:02 AM

oh if only they would embrace that.

McP3000 09-08-2008 11:37 AM

I've brought the topic up to several girls, and most of them IMMEDIATELY declined the idea, whilst two of them were intrigued.

haha hmm

phone convos tend to mean you have some issue you need to deal with (with the person you talk to), in this case with your brother or a person with similar characteristics. dogs can symbolize loyalty, protection, generosity, intuition... running away that you're losing control of a situation. as far as it looking different... maybe it's as simple as someone being 'two-faced', but that's just a guess. dream's also telling you to put your energies into other things.

that's all I got. doesnt make much sense to me either. :p

AA-12 09-08-2008 11:48 AM

99% of bi girls are just sluts, i've discovered.

McP3000 09-08-2008 12:28 PM

Me and my roomie were on wikipedia last night, and apparently there is a difference between a Bitch-Slap and a Pimp-Slap
Sigh was good, all of the pervs were taking pics of the chick sax player which was funny, she was pretty hot though and she's bi so that's.. yeah.
I don't think she's hot at all, man. She's all gangly looking and she's super awkward. She's ridiculously smart from what I can gather though, she's got her doctorate in some weird *** magnetic science.

AA-12 09-08-2008 01:15 PM

She's alright from what I remember.

Tyler 09-08-2008 01:17 PM

She looks like my aunt if my aunt were a heroin addict.

In other news, Sam Raimi just gave the go ahead for a 3D Evil Dead the Musical Movie. Colour me excited.

elmntrs 09-08-2008 01:17 PM

lol dream analysis

AA-12 09-08-2008 01:20 PM

Campbell involved?

Tyler 09-08-2008 01:22 PM
Campbell involved?
Nope. Hopefully they get Ryan Ward. Campbell wouldn't be involved, he's too old. The Musical is a mix of 1 & 2 and I doubt he'd pass for a college student, hah. But Ryan Ward is absolutely amazing. He's got all the mannerisms and phrasing down 100% perfectly and he can really sing to boot.

I'm really curious about the 3D aspect. I assume it'll involve blood going on the audience in some way.

repcak 09-08-2008 02:35 PM
I read somewhere once that people who like heavy metal are quiet and introverted - I didn't think it could be true till I met Kacper who is shy, quiet, polite and incredibly sweet - who knew? We had a great time together and talked about everything from the state of world affairs, to, well, music... Oh, and his parents sound really cool.
wtf?

Tyler 09-08-2008 02:38 PM

I got there about a half hour before unexpect got on stage to set up and still was able to get in the front. If you don't want to sit through about 2 hours of local bands, I'd suggest going later.

And the Sigh chick isn't that hot, she's pretty hot though in comparison to other metalhead chicks and definitely isn't ugly.
I'd take her over Unexpect's vocalist anyday (she's not bad either, nice ass tbh)

Monticello 09-08-2008 03:22 PM
