I prefer playing games on the PC mainly because I don't have Xbox live, and I like playing games online.

Illmatic 09-01-2005 01:16 PM

I prefer the "old fashioned" head-to-head multiplayer...I've played Madden and SOCOM online, and it was pretty gay.

Maybe once I am in a dorm with other students, I will play more head to head. But since I live at home, it is easier for me to play games online.

That's harsh...

But in the mean time, have fun being killed in two seconds by 14 year olds who play 8 hours a day.

Arrakakaka 09-01-2005 01:25 PM

37 pages of homework in adv. math, odd problems only. Every time I'm in that class, I feel like I'm in some kind of purgatory.
Halo blows.

Keep FPS on the PC where it belongs
The problem with that is that Halo 2 is not a '1 shot kill, realism' fps. With games like that (CS, Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon) you NEED a keyboard for them to work, but with Halo 2 the xbox controller suits the game just fine.

I've been playing it more because everyone has headsets, so its alot easier to communicate and attack etc. Its also really frantic and crazy.

Quite a few people have headsets on PC FPS games now as well.

I see that 'Tender has returned.

And this probably horribly late.

Sheesh...I couldn't even remember how to spell probably. I think I'm brain dead :-/

I wasn't questioning your ability/technique to post, more so the content of your post and how you could possibly bring yourself to post it.

I think, my brain isn't working too well. These are worrying times.

That's my 3 post limit for this thread. I believe I shall go and die.

Drink, smoke, listen to music?

"I engage in the art of consuming alchohol (within reasonable limits, of course). Alchohol was invented by yada yada yada..."

Try to word it all exquisitely. :p

Kingofdudes 09-01-2005 02:02 PM

Well I found out that half of my school is now gone due to the hurricane. I am either going to have to wait a few months till I can go back to school, or my dad is considering sending me and my brothers to Utah to go to school till our school is rebuilt.

Lord Abortion 09-01-2005 02:03 PM

uh, apart from the smoking and most of the drinking, maybe

That would suck if you have to go to school somewhere else, I know I wouldn't like it anyway.

Yeah, ive been going to different schools all my life, and I dont want to be doing this now, in the middle of my Senior year. This hurricane is ruining my life :(

Has anyone talked to RCA lately? I think his power is out too.

superpeer 09-01-2005 02:16 PM

I thought I saw him not too long ago, but I'm not sure.

That i know, as i have one :) Don't get me wrong, i play Counterstrike : Source and Rainbow Six 3 all the time, but im just saying that Xbox can also be fun :)

Shattered_Future 09-01-2005 02:29 PM

I personally like FPSs better on the console, simply because it looks SO much better...

My crappy computer doesn't do games well. :upset:

Although I did log about 600 hours into Jedi Outcast (best Star Wars game ever) over the past year or so.

Shadows 09-01-2005 02:32 PM

I think FPSs are much, much easier to play with a game controller than a keyboard. All the buttons are organized and you don't have to stop and look down to findthe button to do something.

ArcLite 09-01-2005 02:33 PM

I hate console gaming. The graphics on a computer are better (on mine, anyway), and I find a keyboard much easier to use, especially for FPS's.

Shadows 09-01-2005 02:36 PM

You must have one amazing computer. My computer's not bad at all but the graphics are always shitty comapred to my PS2.

PIII 3.0gh, 1024MB RAM, ATI Radeon 9800 Pro vid card /comp specs whoring. Yeah, it does alright. I do own a PS2, but its only function is as a DVD player. I just played my axe for over an hour, hurts like hell to type.

repcak 09-01-2005 02:42 PM

i always played games on my pc. i hate consoles and it doesn't matter if its a xbox or ps or anything.

luckily i stopped playing some months ago. last week i tried to play some games, but after 10min i stopped cause it was waste of time for me :D

A waste of time indeed, but a fun waste of time :D . I have a Counter-Source: Source addiction.

Lord Abortion 09-01-2005 02:44 PM

I play both my PS2 and PC games infrequently

I really need to trade most of my ps2 ones in...

huzzah! I registered FFXI Finally...let the RPG Commence

Beats the hell out of my computer. :( I know the feeling of the finger pain. Whenever I practice as long as I intend to and come back down my fingers are usually numb...maybe I should practice less.

RPG's are for nancies, real men play FPS's :p. Just kidding, whatever you like. I do quite enjoy some RTS's though. The whole Warcraft series was ace.

Endless Obsession 09-01-2005 02:48 PM

I never play shooting games. For me its pretty much Nba Live, MLB Baseball, and Madden. Only EA Sports.

Shadows 09-01-2005 02:49 PM

I hate sports games. I play RPGs, RTSs, FPS...mainly strategy games or anything with hardcore violence.

You are an idiot.

Every FPS is the same, and it keeps getting worse as the games keep getting "faster paced" [see the dictionary entry for gay].

RPG's take thinking dude, you need to conserve different skills for the correct situation, and stratagize your way through the entire process of a battle.

RTS's are quite good though, Warcraft III being the best of those :).

Oh, and I like some FPS's [Day Of Defeat, Counter Strike: Classic].

Arucard 09-01-2005 02:50 PM

Lol, i can never play anything EA really, save C+C.

No Vikingcore, you are an idiot. Strategic and realism FPS's are very good and original, compared to RPG's which get really repetetive once you've got to about level 20 (i did on WoW and MXO, then got bored and cancelled my subscription.)

The only RPG i got heavily into was Skies Of Arcadia.

Also, you took Bortons post wayyyy to seriously.

I just put in a whole new set of skins and sounds. That's what's so great about the game, the customizability (real word?). Everytime you change out skins and/or sounds, its like playing a whole new game.

And Eleventeen, calm down...I said I was kidding.

FFXI isn't too good of an MMORPG, I'd go with either Guildwars or WoW if I were you...

Arucard 09-01-2005 02:54 PM

WoW gets very boring, very fast. Its just like 'OmgZZorR!!! You L:EVEleDD UP Agains"""!'
