man I've been meaning to check that band out. You like? recently i'm into The Cure (lots), Ash Ra Temple, and the No Neck Blues Band. Right now it's Spacemen 3, while I'm pretty stoned. This is so great, but I still don't like Spiritualized much from what I've heard. Spacemen 3 though, hell yeah. |
Hey man what's a good album by the No Neck Blues Band?
|
Qvaris is my favourite so far.

Uz Jsme Doma - Rybi Tuk
Not their best CD (although none of their work is bad) but I saw that it needed to be reviewed at my radio station and practically jumped for joy. The radio station never seems to dissapoint. |

They're not a world-conquering band or anything, but they've managed to work out a pretty distinctive sound in a rather limited "genre" - so to speak. Look into 'em. |

MV & EE with the Golden Road - Gettin' Gone
ACIDA is the musical partnership of two of Argentinas most talented artists. Singer-songwriter Alina Gandini began her quest to conquer the ears of the world back in 1999, with the help of her producer husband Tweety Gonzalez (once keyboardist in the famous superstar band Soda Stereo). Their diverse background and individual style create the wonder that is Acida. Acida truly is the beautiful baby of their unique musical parentage. With influences as varied as Tango, Jazz, Bossanova and rock, their music is as diverse as it is brilliant! In La Vida Real, Acida have made a debut album of unique Argentinean sonic bliss. The songs reach out to a wide demographic, being catchy enough to get people onto the dancefloor, while maintaining the characteristic Argentinean melancholy that pulsates through the core of their lyrical and melodic genius. La Vida Real features some prominent stars of the Argentinean music world, including Gustavo Cerati, Alinas father Gerardo Gandini, classical composer and Dante Spinetta of Illya Kuryaki & The Valderramas fame. Other collaborators include Emanuel Cauvet, Capri, Hana Miya, and The Hindu Collective. All form part of the the ingredients of this magnificent debut. Pretty neat stuff. |
