Must be on Something Wild.
Alright, thanks.

Broken Arrow 02-12-2005 09:57 AM

Good Morning All.

Since when was JPJ a metalhead?

I'm not, I just like power metal and a couple melo-death bands.

Bartender 02-12-2005 10:01 AM

Name them, please? Just so I have an idea of what you listen to. The only bands I really know you like are CoB and (I think) Arsis.

Woodstock 02-12-2005 10:02 AM

W00t, there's a record show coming to my city on March 13. Gonna score me some deals.

Yep, those are the couple I was refering to. By "a couple" I literally meant "a couple"

I wonder if Pittsburgh ever gets record shows. I'm sure it does, I just don't know about them.

Wow I wish a record show would come to Canada.......

As far as metal goes- Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden and Judas Priest is as far as I go.

Woodstock 02-12-2005 10:05 AM

The two most "metal" albums I own are Black Sabbath and Tool.

Oh, yea I like those bands too. I somehow managed to forget the godfathers of metal.

superpeer 02-12-2005 10:06 AM

Something wild is the best CoB album, I think. It's rawer and just better.

Bartender 02-12-2005 10:06 AM

What about power metal, though?

I'll have to check it out sometime then. Preferably without buying it, since I already own three and don't like them much.

I thought you didn't like Tool?

Oh, Dragonforce, Helloween, Symphony X (some say prog but they sound like power to me), Blind Guardian, Sonata Arctica, Hammerfall, Angra, etc.

The only power metal bands I've heard that I didn't like were Iced Earth and Stratovarious.

I also don't like Stratovarius, and I think you're the first person I've known who doesn't just hate power metal in general, yet doesn't like them. So hurrah.

Yes, chances are you won't like it either. Do you like Lake Bodom?

Bartender 02-12-2005 10:13 AM

Don't think I've heard it.

You know you're right. It seems like everyone either hates it or is in love with it.

I got Aenima and Lateralus, and I thought Aenima was a lot better. Have you heard it?

How do you do that thing where the "A" like meshes into the "e"?

Broken Arrow 02-12-2005 10:17 AM
Never said I did.
Why would you get a Tool Cd then.

Woodstock 02-12-2005 10:19 AM

I wanted to see what all the hype was about.

No, I don't have Aenima.

Aenima is awesome. That's probably my favorite cd by them. That or Lateralus. Not sure.
