I'm so god damn pissed right now. I was so excited for 6/6/6. Oh well, I'm sre it's still a kick-*** show.
You're coming to SD as well? Cool.
At least you're still seeing them.
True, very true.
I bought Show No Mercy yesterday, goooood shit.

:)
It's such a great album.
Damn it! I still can't see them...My event in Seattle never changed..
Ah, that sucks.

I'm thinking about calling my local radio station and telling them that on 6/6/06 they need to play Slayer all day. If they can play Metallica all day for X-mas, they sure as hell can do an all Slayer day. Though, I seriously doubt they would even take into consideration. Seeing as the radio needs to constantly play their A7x and Trivium every 10 minutes.

Nostalgia 05-11-2006 02:30 PM

Hah, that'd be cool.

MRDuCran 05-11-2006 03:07 PM
OMG why are people complaining that their not seeing Slayer on 6/6/6?? Does it really make ANY fucking difference what date it is?

Anywho, i just watched 'angel of death' download '05. My god, i'm really imperessed with Tom's vocals. Anyone else think they're better?
I thought they sounded pretty much like they always do, which is good.

The intro scream was funny though, it was just "aahgh", eh fuck it, then he smiles. :)

SimonCore 05-11-2006 03:37 PM

Yeah lol, but we all know he can't do that anymore...aprt from that it was very high Tom standard.

MRDuCran 05-11-2006 03:43 PM

I've heard people saying bad things about his "new" voice but I still haven't heard it.

Nostalgia 05-11-2006 03:46 PM

His voice on GHUA was terrible IMO.

Bazarov 05-11-2006 03:52 PM

Yeah it was pretty bad.

Nostalgia 05-11-2006 03:53 PM

I don't know if they ran vocal affects through it, but I'm guessing they did. His voice sounded so distorted it was terrible.

FatalEnergy 05-11-2006 04:55 PM

That whole album is terrible. I hope they redeem themselves with this new one, but it's very unlikely that they will

Bazarov 05-11-2006 05:02 PM

I still think that the album is going to be better than GHUA.

MRDuCran 05-11-2006 05:28 PM

I like GHUA, Disciple, Payback, Exile are all really good imo. I can't remember all the others.

FatalEnergy 05-11-2006 05:53 PM
I still think that the album is going to be better than GHUA.
I don't think it could possibly be worse.

Bazarov 05-11-2006 07:52 PM
I like GHUA, Disciple, Payback, Exile are all really good imo. I can't remember all the others.
*points and laughs*

No honestly, the main thing that annoys me about that album is the over use of fuck, and how Tom sings some of the songs.

AA-12 05-11-2006 07:55 PM

I agree it's not the best, but Payback is my all time favorite Slayer song.

Apocalyptic Raids 05-11-2006 08:16 PM

ghua is awesome what are you all talking about

Bazarov 05-11-2006 08:19 PM

Post less. :p

heavy metal kid 05-11-2006 08:22 PM

hey Butcher, Slayer no longer is 666, now is july 20th.

Bazarov 05-11-2006 08:23 PM

Yeah I know. :( At least Tom didn't die or be hospitalized so long that the whole tour had to be cancelled.

MRDuCran 05-12-2006 05:29 AM

No honestly, the main thing that annoys me about that album is the over use of fuck, and how Tom sings some of the songs.
Hey, that's not nessessary. :(

But yeah I do like those songs, but I'm not saying Angel of Death, War Ensemble etc etc aren't good, but since you're all talking about it I thought I'd let you all know I like a few off of it. Also, the production makes it sound better than Show No Mercy, and I do like the heaviness from the tuned down guitars too.

The lyrics don't really concern me as much as the music.

SimonCore 05-12-2006 09:43 AM
I don't think it could possibly be worse.
It's really annoying that Slayer fans don't like GHUA. Disciple, new faith, here comes the pain, Payback are amazing songs. His vocals suit it, but i gotta admit the overuse of 'fuck' does annoy me.

Crysiss 05-12-2006 10:31 AM

I like Disciple:)

But, Im not your typical slayer fan:p

MRDuCran 05-12-2006 10:44 AM

By the looks of things, it's the dedicated fans that hate it, and the more casual listeners that like it. I used to be a hardcore listener, rocking the fuck out in my leathers thinking I was Jeff, and even then I liked it.

Crysiss 05-12-2006 10:51 AM

haha, Jeff.

My favorite is chemical warfare though.

Er, i'm a very dedicated Slayer fan. In a way i'm more dedicated than the people who don't like GHUA.

MRDuCran 05-12-2006 01:16 PM

I'm not pointing at specific people so it's nothing personal, it's just something I've came across from most people in this thread, at least, I think it's pretty much how it goes. Eh.
haha, Jeff.
 You don't like Jeff?

Nostalgia 05-12-2006 01:41 PM

Haha, Butcher. Tom is gonna come out and his voice is gonna get fucked up, then he's gonna have to have that 'Jamie' guy from Hatebreed to come out and do the rest of his set-list. That seriously happened. Like a year or so ago, Tom was having vocal problems, and he was preforming SOH, and he couldn't finish, so they got the lead singer of Hatebreed to come out and do it.

Bazarov 05-12-2006 02:54 PM

I'm just messing around with you.

But yeah, lyrics usually don't annoy me, but Kerry did some terrible lyrics for that album, and it just annoyed me.
I like Disciple:)

Disciple, I do like.
haha, Jeff.

He did? That sucks. I'd be pissed if he did that, I might even feel the urge to boo.

Ahh, I haha'd because I remembered a story he told on the DVD. And those kids mocking what Jeff does when hes onstage.

MRDuCran 05-12-2006 04:38 PM

Oh right. Yeah Jeff is cool. Especially when I saw them last year, my friend put me on his shoulders and I gave him the \m/, he looked right at me then carried on headbanging when I got down, amazing!

He's definately an inspiration to my image, his hair is straight (hate curls) and his knee pad things are awesome. He just looks badass overall.

Fukk, I'm going to go get my Slayer cd.

I'm pretty sure those are baseball catcher shin-gaurds... I've always wondered why he started wearing those, but oh well it doesn't really matter.

Nostalgia 05-12-2006 04:45 PM

After seeing the picture of them, they for sure are. They're very small ones though (I played baseball, and I caught for my team). Normal ones are a little looser and are better fitting, his are tight and are very small.

MRDuCran 05-12-2006 05:27 PM

That's cool, cheers.

Nostalgia 05-13-2006 12:08 AM

Hahaha. Dude your avatar is so funny. It actually made me laugh out loud.

Bazarov 05-13-2006 12:16 AM

Yeah, the first time I saw it I laughed out too.

I've had an urge for about 2 days to watch the Still Reigning DVD. But I never get around to it.

Nostalgia 05-13-2006 12:30 AM

It's a really good video. Way too short though. They had a pretty good interview, but the only bad thing was when they had like two girls flash the camera and they were both pretty fat and pretty ugly.

Bazarov 05-13-2006 12:38 AM

Man, I don't remember that. And I don't want to see that.

Nostalgia 05-13-2006 12:42 AM

Yeah you won't want to. One of them has her nipple's pierced. So I guess only fat girls like Slayer. :(

SimonCore 05-13-2006 11:05 AM

I can't wait until we found out the set list for the Unholly alliance tour.

Bazarov 05-13-2006 11:10 AM

I'm pretty sure that the set list will be different at each venue. I just hope they play at least one song off of Hell Awaits.

SimonCore 05-13-2006 12:32 PM
I'm pretty sure those are baseball catcher shin-gaurds... I've always wondered why he started wearing those, but oh well it doesn't really matter.
He wears them because he loves baseball, but they don't wear the team shirts anymore because it doesn't really fit the mood. So by wearing the shin gurads, he's still showing his liking of the sport.
