|
Are Bolt Thrower cosidered power metal?
|
So Gallowglass are pretty good. What album should I look into?
They only have 1 album (which i have forgotten the name of) Hehe i just bought a fan to put next to my dums so when i play my Viking locks can flow in the breeze (thats right ollie i have decided they are Viking locks now not hippie ones) |
Galloglass have only one album so far, Legends From Now And Nevermore. Great album. Hopefully Heavenseeker will be just as awesome!
|
I got into Galloglass a few months ago when I downloaded a few songs from their website. One being Kings Who Die (from their Demo cd) which is a great song. The other song is called Silent Oath, I've had a look around their site and neither song appears to be up for download anymore.

yo, fangirl in the making :p I wouldnt say they're power, just viking/folk. Why dont I like Galloglass? A downloaded some songs thanks to ExitWound but didnt think they're anything spectacular. It's been ages since I last discovered some power metal to drive me crazy :( |
Hi Stoic! I'm feeling guilty that I never said thanx for sending me those tunes a couple of weeks ago.
I can't tell you what they were because unfortunately, my computer couldn't actually download them from the site you uploaded them to - it only seems to like yousendit Thanx anyway :) |
I'm still unsure as to what Bolt Thrower is. Are they power metal?
|
dont worry Rumboy, Ι know how pervent PCs are :p
As for Bolt Thrower...Isnt it an old school death metal band? |
Thats what i thoght, but lyrically i think theyre power.
Either way theyre good. ~'nother good power metal band= Symphony X |
Hammerfall, I love Heeding the Call!
Thats what i thoght, but lyrically i think theyre power.
Either way theyre good.
Their lyrics sometimes sound like something a power metal band would write, but they're very much a death metal/grind band. |
My favourite Hammerfall song is Bloodbound.

Somewhere far beyond is a classic album, very different to ANATO, I just got Imagnations from the other side and it's excellent, I can't begin to describe how good a Script for my requiem is...
D R A G O N F O R C E INHUMAN RAMPAGE - BRAND NEW ALBUM Following a hugely successful summer and autumn, during which the 18 month campaign in support of their Sonic Firestorm album has seen them wowing festival crowds around Europe before returning to the UK to play yet another sell out tour, London based metallists DRAGONFORCE have just completed work on their eagerly anticipated third album. Inhuman Rampage contains eight brand new songs and will be released on 9th January 2006. The album recording sessions were made at Thin Ice Studios in Virginia Water (Surrey) and guitarist Herman Li's own studio in West London between April and September, while production duties were shared between Li, fellow axeman Sam Totman and keyboard player Vadim Pruzhanov. When asked to comment on the new album, Li stated: “On the new album we have come up with the ultimate formula that has never been done before. Combining intensity, chaos and melody, with all the DragonForce trademarks plus some more. For us, this is the next evolution in DragonForce's sound. I have never heard an album sounding like ‘Inhuman Rampage'....the title says it all! It's seriously gonna blow some heads off around the world next year.” The full tracklisting of Inhuman Rampage is as follows:- 1. Through the Fire and Flames 2. Revolution Deathsquad 3. Storming the Burning Fields 4. Operation Ground and Pound 5. Body Breakdown 6. Cry for Eternity 7. The Flame of Youth 8. Trail of Broken Hearts The album will be released on CD and picture vinyl, with the CD featuring an enhanced section and other surprise goodies.... Herman Li and Vadim Pruzhanov will undertake a 2 week tour of Continetal Europe to promote the January 9th release of 'Inhuman Rampage' and will visit the following cities: October Monday 17th - Brussels / Tuesday 18th - Athens / Wednesday 19th Berlin / Thursday 20th Stockholm / Friday 21st - Helsinki / Saturday 22nd - Cologne / Sunday 23rd - Cologne / Monday 23rd - Dortmund / Tuesday 25th - Paris / Wednesday 26th - Milan / Thursday 27th - Barcelona / Friday 28th - Stuttgart & Munich.
|
Not to big a fan of Dragonforce but if they have inprobed there sound again I'll see where they ended up now. I really didn't like Valley of the ****ed but Sonic firestorm is actually a nice album.
