obviously i cop this today, in my attempt to cleanse the metal palette with an album that still stays close to metal but is't and what comes out but United Nations on the exact same day...guess i'll listen to that next and consider said palette cleansed

no there is always a dominant palette. of course your ability to discern is all based upon how many taste buds you have so

yeah too much metal (which is impossible i know) makes good metal less good...sometimes you need something really good but different from your normal taste to grow a new appreciation for the original taste...obviously i'm a scaredy cat whose mad skizzled of going too far away so i pick screamo with a metallic influence...

im not talking about myself of course, because i do listen to mainly metal with some other bands and artists that i really like outside of the genre
but i have met people that really listen to something different every day of the week
